This Double Arch is located near the northern most end of the Devil's Garden Trail and is quite a hike to get to but as with all the arches, worth the trip if you can make it.

The hike through Devil's Garden is tons of fun, but the arch at the end of our hike (Double O) was not that exciting. The arch is neat, but we didn't get too close, as we were really exhausted at this point. You can hike down to it, but we stayed at the viewpoint. Definitely a fun hike, so I encourage you to explore Devil's Garden. I have seen better arches, but it was not a bad turning around point for us.

We went in December conditions with snow and ice on the ground. It was challenging but well worth it. Fabulous views along the way where you feel like you are at the end of the world. Going on to Dark Angel was well worth it. In winter conditions, this is a hike for experinced hikers with appropriate gear.

The arch was honestly disappointing because the hike was pretty challenging. The hike isn't very long or tiring, but the steep rocks and the narrow rockfin are scary. Returning is even scarier as you look down 150 ft along a very steep and smooth rock face. This is not for the faint of heart. You MUST have hiking shoes and courage to look at the next step and not the destination.

We did this arch in the morning just before sunrise. It was cool enough to walk to, and the trail was easy and short from the parking lot. When you reach the bottom of the arch, you're actually standing underneath it. And the view? Endless! Absolutely stunning. The sunrise? Phenomenal! The colors of the sky mixed with the rocks was just beautiful. Bring your camera for sure!

The arch is cool, but the trail from landscape arch to double o is amazing and not to be missed. You walk on top of exposed fins with great Vistas....

This was a somewhat strenuous hike getting to the arches, so make sure you give yourself time and take water. We were able to climb onto the top of the arch, which was a thrilling experience! The view was magnificent, and there were many other arches to see along the way. I would recommend this arch, along with any others in the park!

Depart early in the morning for perfect sunlight (for photography), and for a perfect temperature. This area does not receive predictable breezes, so you should avoid the heat of the mid-day.The walk is easy, but wear closed toes shoes else you'll be constantly kicking out sand and decomposed granite. Pictures cannot tell the scope or magnitude of the double O arch. One of our photos has one of our children at the top of the large "O" and another is within the other to give you an idea of how large the big arch is.

Our son and his fiancee said their wedding vows on Saturday, 6/7 in the smaller of the two arches. They love visiting Arches and this is their favorite spot in the park....It's a beautiful hike....make sure you take lots of water.

At the end of Devils Garden trail, you will find this double O. It is not too much nice as the others, but overlook from the rock on the other side is nice. You can then choose primitive trail or main trail on the way back.

I had read this was an adventurous hike so I was surprised that the beginning of the hike (think about .5 miles) was totally flat - basically a sandy sidewalk. There is plenty to see but not exciting. The trail gets much more fun once you start going up the steep trail after Landscape Arch right beyond the fence. This is steep section and you need a decent pair of shoes - none of us have hiking boots but all have trail running shoes which were fine. Also, water is essential - especially in the summer. We hiked it in the middle of the day in July only because it rained and then was cooler and overcast. Would be very challenging if we had hiked in full sun and normal temperatures. Also, would not recommend going up this trail when wet. We let the rain pass and waited for the path to dry before attempting to climb up. The sand makes wet surfaces treacherous. We really enjoyed walking along the top of the fins - reminded me of Angel's Landing - a bit wider and not as dramatic (no 1400 ft drop off) but exceptional views and fun. Also there are no chains so completely unspoiled. We turned around after reaching Double O - really wish we would have done the Primitive Trail Loop - but didn't even anticipate hiking this trail so everything was a bonus. My favorite trail in the park - we also did Fiery Furnace (ranger led) and Delicate Arch.

Hike to Double O Arch was an excellent way to escape crowds at Arches NP in mid August. The trail isn't the easiest one, but it's definitely worth it. The views along the trail are just spectacular, especially at the sunset, The Devil's Garden with The Double O Arch is a charming quiet place. Wear good hiking shoes and don't forget your camera.

The hike there was on a sandy path and it couldn't have taken more than 15 minutes to get there. Very pretty at sunset.

Arches NP was the first stop on our 3-week road trip my son and I just finished. There are certainly nicer arches to be seen, but this one is fairly unique and the Devil's Garden Trail was a really nice hike to reach it though certain sections of it can be challenging if you're not prepared. As with many of them, if you're trying to get good photos, time of day is important and my opinion would be afternoon would be best for this one so you could take it from the west and get more interesting scenery looking east through the arch.

We were hiking along the Primitive Trail and came upon what we thought was the Double O Arch: two very small holes in the rocks forming a figure 8. Do NOT be fooled by this, the real arch is just around the corner. Easily one of the most unique arches in the park.
