We enjoyed looking at all of the booths. We saw for sale antiques, new items, used items, guns, plants and flowers, homegrown vegetables and jams and jellies, candles, animals and everthing in between! The vendors were all very nice. The homemade lemonade at the concession stand is great! The bathrooms are old and not so clean but they are the outdoor campsite type. There is a small parking/admission fee of $1-$2 depending on where you park.
Dog Day Flea Market in Ardmore, Tennessee is open on Saturday and Sunday’s year round and offers a variety of goods including live stock. Bargain hunters usually start arriving at 5:00 a.m. and stay until sunset. Dog Days Flea Market sits on over 100 acres of land on an open field. The flea market actually started in the 1940's as a place where hunters would meet on Mondays to let their hunting dogs run in the woods and trade dogs; hence, the name.Over the years, the market expanded to include other things besides dogs for sale. Now you can find: miniature horses, cattle, exotic birds, rabbits, chickens, antiques, collectibles, and just plain old junk!"Parking is $1 and $2, depending on how far back in the field (and how much walking you'll end up doing!) you have to park. There is plenty of food to buy if you get hungry: ice cream, shaven ice, hot dogs, hamburgers, grill chicken, fresh-squeezed lemonade, and a full breakfast. Pets are welcomed but must be leashed. Dangerous and aggressive breeds are not allowed. You’ll never know what you’ll find. Check out the gems we found this morning.
