Four soldiers were stationed at FSWP prior to their joining the Corps of Discovery and traveled to the Pacific Ocean and back with Captains Lewis and Clark during 1803-1806. The Fort is under renovation and looks cool during the reconstruction. It's history is worth a stop.

Great place for a walk around with great views. Lots of walking trails in the area. Small museum but you can walk around the fort at any time except dark.

check their website for their activity schedule, but it's worth a stop, regardless. There's a small museum on-site with some history of the fort, but the highlight is the re-built portions of the fort that include part of the stockade fence, several buildings and a watchtower. And then there's the stories they tell about how the people stationed there actually lived :)
