The whitetail deer abound. The lake overlook is amazing. Great history in this area as well. Great for a family picnic.

Love the trails and overlook. Roadside is much smaller expanse than the trails cover so plan to get out and hike.

Excellent trails... Love the views, the boat launches, the bike trails, the horse trails... This park is close to the city but you feel like you are way out in the country!

Living in Morristown TN, it's a place I always take who ever comes to visit. The view of the lake is a must see, and during the summer, it's a fantastic place to do your outdoors sports like running/walking and mountain biking.. Great for picnic as well... If you are in town is a must visit!

We have visited this park a number of times. The staff is always friendly and informative. You can sign up for an email newsletter with upcoming events. We enjoy the walking/hiking paths. There are many to chose from. We do wish they were better marked. My grandkids love the sinkhole trail but I truly enjoy them all. The park has a nice campground that we have not used. There is a playground for the young set. If you take the park road up there are great scenic picnic areas plus gorgeous views of Cherokee Lake. This is a very nice scenic park for families, singles, friends and seniors. Check at the park office for the many activities offered. Good place to put in your kayak or canoe too. It is a little off the beaten track but well worth a visit.

This state park has a lot to offer visitors. Lots of beautiful trails for hiking, bike riding, and horse back. Nice wooded picnic areas. Two large covered picnic shelters for larger groups. They have an outdoor playground and a large swimming pool. There is an overlook at the top of the mountain that looks down on beautiful Cherokee Lake. They also have a small campground with super clean bathroom and shower facilities. Great place to spend the day.

Easy access off 11-E (Andrew Johnson Highway). There is a traffic light at the corner of 11-E and Panther Creek Park Road. Lovely views. Peaceful, quiet. Well worth the extra time.

We stayed in the RV space for 3 nights with water and electricity hookups, but no sewer hookup. There was a dump station close by though. It had been raining and windy for about a week in that general area of Tennessee. A couple of the RV lots had washed a bit but ours was dry and flat, which we needed for good refrigerator operation. The park had a swimming pool, closed for the season when we arrived. It had playground equipment, tennis courts, and about 30 miles of trails. We hiked many of them, such as the 7 Sinkholes Trail with huge sinkholes we climbed down into. The terrain was difficult, medium and easy hiking. There were picnic tables on each site as well as a picnic shelter close to the very clean bath houses. The bath houses were heated with two different shower spigot levels, adult and kid heights. The ranger rode through very frequently. There was no trouble during the nights we camped, except rain! We paid $15.00 a night to park our RV. Would definitely like to visit this beautiful park again.

I enjoyed the stay at this park. Campsite was great with deer coming up to my back door. The bathrooms were excellent, very clean and spacious. The overlook was also very nice. They are still working on the runoff issue but that is a challenge anywhere you have hills and pavement.

First I must say this is a small campground compared to other state parks. Also, there are not many sites for tents. We finally found one we were satisfied with. Mostly there are RVs. We lucked out and had dry, beautiful weather. I heard horror stories about the rain and flooding the campsites. While we were there, a crew worked and worked all day on the drainage and the roads. I hope this fixes all the problems they have had. The campground was full. Everyone we encountered were friendly. Lot of out of state families. I had read in other reviews about the bathhouses not being taken care of. This is not true. The man that cleans came 2 and 3 times a day. He cleaned the toilet, sink and shower and washed the floor every time. Toilet paper ran out fast. He could hardly keep up with replenishing it. Many people using the facilities. I give him kudos. There is water and electricity at every site. Easy to wash your dishes if your not in an RV. A few miles down the road is a BP station for ice if you need it. We saw a lot of deer. Plenty of hiking trails from easy to strenuous. Very quiet at night. All in all, we enjoyed it here because its not so huge. We will be returning.

We booked our site to go camping for my twins birthday. Don't get me wrong, rain can happen anytime during a camping trip but this is what happened along with that. When it poured it caused a huge river of red dirt that continously ran through our site. It ruined my out door carpet that was so covered in mud it needed to be disposed of. After the rain all the water lines, electric lines, etc were exposed. It caused sink holes on multiple sites, me and my family had four total. Gravel was thrown everywhere. I spent the afternoon of my boys birthday party in a hole to my thighs pulling straw out the drain so my brothers camper was not flooded. Also when we arrived and hooked up our water the pressure is so outrageous it busted pipes in our camper. This park has major problems and we will not be back. I posted this information on their park site and was never contacted, refunded, nothing. Sad they spent all this money only to make this park worse. We enjoyed it before what they called an upgrade. Also bring your own tp. The bathrooms are always out!!

We stayed at this campground for three days. This campground could be very nice if it wasn't for the washouts. If you accidentally get off the road your going to tear your vehicle up in the gullys on the road edge. The restrooms/shower rooms are very nice and clean. I noticed the park service there twice a day cleaning them. I throughly enjoyed the deer that would come out of the woods and graze on the empty campsites. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The park rangers were visible riding through the park. My only complaint about the staff is there were three ladies working in the office. The one sitting in the middle which was a younger lady was sitting there playing on Facebook! Really?! Our government don't have the funds to keep up our state parks but they are paying you to play on Facebook? I believe if I had been her I would have at least gotten out of it so the guest didn't see what I was doing! I will go back and camp at this park again. It is a nice peaceful place to go and just relax.

Panther creek park is a vast mountain area where natives and visitors can go to relax and see a little wild life. It has a large population of dears and squeals. Its main attraction is at the top of the mountain over looking a vast lake. The view is unbelievably beautiful.

Panther creek has many trails to choose from. Lots of things to do and various trails for a variety of hikers. The scenic overlooks are nicely done and well kept. I have visited panther creek several times and would visit again when I return to Morristown.
