Easy access for all levels of ability. Three sets of very pretty falls that are on a gravel path. Close to the interstate.

I recently had the pleasure of hiking the Millennium Trail at Edgar Evans State Park in Silver Point, TN. It was a cool, damp drizzly day. Previous days rain coupled with the drizzle made the trail quite muddy and very slippery in several places. But let me assure the weather did not take anything away from this beautiful hike. The length is 8 miles but there are two other shorter trails that you can take. I still consider myself a novice hiker so I would rate this trail as difficult. The "All Trails" app rates it as a moderate. There are more than a few steep incline that had me having to sit down and take a rest a couple times. B sure to take plenty of water and maybe some granola bars and maybe even a few Advil for when you're done. Trust me though if you choose to take this hike the full 8 miles you'll be reported with beautiful scenery wonderful trees, a lake, and beautiful streams. You won't be sorry. Just short hour drive from Nashville and I was there. Enjoy. ...When you finish you will truly feel like you have accomplished something.

We stayed during the Thanksgiving holiday and had a nice time. The cabins were equipped with everything I needed and were very clean. These are tri-level cabins so there are stairs inside. One set going up to the kitchen and living area, and then a larger set going down to the bedroom. The beds were fairly comfortable. The main problem was getting the place to heat evenly. The thermostat is downstairs, so it would be pretty cold but then stifling warm upstairs. You might want to bring a warmer blanket, as the ones provided are pretty thin cotton. There is direct TV, but there is no DVD player so if you want one, you will need to bring one. Overall, we had a nice time. It was just too cold to enjoy the outdoors, but there is a decent pool for cabin guests during the warmer months.

We stayed here for a week at the end of June 2014,it's quite unique as all the 60 sites are on timber platforms with some overlooking center hill lake. The Rangers are very helpful and friendly, and the host couple too. They have three bath houses so where ever you camp you will be close by. Center hill lake is one of my favorite places ,very pretty area,I would recommend this campground 100% ;)

We had a total of 6 2 adults 4 teenagers..clean, plenty of dishes. Everything in working order.. Rustic..don't expect the Marriott you are in the deep country..plenty of amenities and things to keep any family busy..Great if you like nature..

This park is huge! 6000 acres of hilly, woody, beauty! There are hiking trails, plenty of picnic spots, boat access, a marina with restaurant, camping area, swimming, fishing, butterfly area, and planned attractions for the entire family. Cabins are available for rent. Cedar Hill Lake is the result of the Cedar Hill dam on the Caney Fork River. The Caney Fork is a beautiful blue-green color!I found lots of seashells along the bank while watching the seagulls diving for minnows. The visitor center is small, but informative and has various artifacts such as fossils, skeletons, etc. found on the property. Beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding hills! Bring your camera and fishing poles!

I've stayed at E Evins SP several times in the past. It's a quiet little park in the late fall, with showy autumn foliage and views of Center Hill Lake. Very few people were there this late in November, making our visit very relaxing. Cookeville is 20 minutes away, with all the amenities of a small city/regional hub.The lodging is condo-like, with a kitchen & living room upstairs, a bath on the entry landing, and sleeping quarters on the bottom level. These are NOT convenient for anyone with mobility issues, whether a chair user or someone who has problems with stairs. Thanks to a fire four or five years ago, two of the units have been made completely chair-accessible. These are apartment-like with two bedrooms, an accessible bath, a generous living room, and a kitchen that is accessible for chair users. This is the room we stayed in. It was outstanding. The state should allot some funds to rehabbing more of the lodging to make it accessible, because the new units are so much more attractive than the older units.

Last weekend, a group that I am involved in held a small meeting at Edgar Evins State Park. This was our first visit to the park, so we went in not knowing what to expect.We stayed in the park cabins. They are nice, and are well suited for families. All dishes, linens, etc are provided. The beds are comfortable, but the sofa bed is not. The cabins were fully booked for the weekend, and parking next to the cabins is a bit limited, but there is an extra lot nearby, and the walk was not far.The park itself was beautiful. All throughout the park are amazing views of forest and the lake. We took a hike in the woods and also took the boat tour provided by park staff, so we were able to see various views of the park. The rangers are very knowledgeable and friendly. They didn't even flinch when dealing with the barrage of questions the kids threw at them. The meeting facility is small, but comfortable and well equipped, with a full kitchen, tables and chairs. We greatly enjoyed our visit to the park. This was our first visit, but will likely not be our last.

Had lots of fun on this once a year history hayride. The characters we met along the way told us the story of the conflict felt in the area during the Civil War (known as War of Northern Aggression here), among the families supporting both sides, and life for the moon shiners. Fun and our 9 year old grandchildren loved it talking about it for days.This is a wonderful park to hike and camp. We often come into the marina by boat to enjoy lunch on the water. This is a jewel in the Tennessee Park system.

Our family just spent a wonderful 3-day weekend at Edgar Evins State Park. The cabins are clean, comfortable and well maintained. Think of a decent, B-grade condo. Just fine for a few days. Center Hill lake has some of the best boating in the Southeast. Amazing! However, BOATERS BEWARE!! Don't plan on using the purported "Courtesy Dock." We were advised by the website and staff it be available, both for day and overnight-use. We were shocked at the horrible condition of the slips. Almost all had missing, rotting canvas bumpers, decomposed wood, with rusted bolts and nails protruding everywhere. It's extremely dangerous for boats and humans... a lawsuit waiting to happen. After finding what we thought was a useable slip, the decayed dock cracked as soon as we parked, leaving our boat damaged against the bare concrete. So we had to trailer our boat each night of our stay (nearby Edgar Evin marina wouldn't rent overnight slips). The park is processing an insurance claim to repair the damage our boat. The helpful staff also apologized saying they'd been trying to get funding to repair the docks for years. STAY AWAY until they get them fixed!

this is one of the nicest lake parks in the state. very good motel & clean room, meeting rooms, great view of center Hill Lake. Great roads, very good boat ramps.

Been there many times. Great facilities and amenities. Fishing, paddling, kayaking, horseback riding, hiking, etc. Nice cabins, camper and tent areas.

Has visitor center, history, swimming, outlook tower with view of dam. Great little restaurant outside gate at main hwy.

Make sure you stop at administration bldg.For the observation tower.Boating and Boat Rentals floating restaurant & swimming area.. camping and fishing. Leaving the park head over too Center Hill Dam, Picnic area both sides of the dam.Explorer the roads around the dam,Kayak rentals on the road to dam. I-40 only 7 miles follow the signs.

We stayed in one of the cabins with our 2 toddlers and puppy. We were pleasantly surprised by the 'modern' aspect of the cabin ~ it was like a townhouse set in the middle of the woods. Private balcony, clean, well stocked kitchen. Fairly well-stocked; the coffee maker lacked filters. I had to borrow some from friendly neighbors. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the marina restaurant. The food was great, a bald eagle flew over, and we had giant turtles begging from the lake next to our table. The chef fixed a custom dish just for me after describing what I wanted to the waiter. And VERY reasonably priced. The kids got the best mac n cheese that I've ever tasted. The pool was lovely. There are large signs warning of the no alcohol policy everywhere, but the rules seemed rather relaxed regarding this. (Probably as long as everyone is well-behaved). One thing for those with very small kids - there are plenty of steep stairs inside and outside of the cabins. They are wide too, so I'm not certain that gates would be effective. We are looking forward to gathering here for a family reunion next year, and are highly recommending this park to everyone.
