We loved this park. You can camp and also rent very spacious cabins. Great for hiking camping and boating.

Bear Trace golf course is a Jack Nichalus design that has challenging rough, so keep it in the VERY beautiful lake side fairways. It's a GREAT course to play. The State Park itself has a lot of things to do. Swimming, fishing, camping, hiking & the list goes on.

This is a very nice state park with a large swimming pool, a nice golf course and a nice marina. It is a long drive from the nearest interstate. The campground is well kept and the roads and sites are all paved. However the campsites are very short and provide only water and 30 amp electric. This is not a campground for large RVs. Even a 30' rig would find the sites minimal at best. I have attached a photo of my Fiat 500 in one of the sites to give you a perspective. The restrooms are clean but very dated. There are cabins but I was not able to see any. There is a nice lone paved biking/hiking path. It is a great place for boaters as the lake is very large with many marinas.

Bear Trace golf course is great! Cabins are nice for larger groups but need some updating. Campground and pool are both in good shape. Very scenic bike and hiking paths.

We had a wonderful 2 day camping trip. The campsites were full, but so enjoyable. We fished from the bank, swam in the lake and hiked. Just a great getaway for our family. The bath house was very clean and check in was easy. The ranger on site was so nice and helpful. Will definitely go ahead.

Great place to hike and ride bikes. Loved the campsite, very spacious and lots of woods. The water is very clear and great for swimming. Several great waterfalls in Tullahoma and Manchester Tn. We will be staying here again very soon!

The good: Wonderfully peaceful, right on the lake. Very helpful staff. The sites are spacious and have no pads so you can park/position however your electric cord and water hose will allow. Reservations accepted online through the TN State Park website. Convenient to Lynchburg, Winchester and Tullahoma. The not so good: At the lakeside sites, the water spigots are shared between two sites so bring a long hose and a 'Y' fitting. Electric connections are up close to the road so the longer your cord the better your positioning options. Bathhouses are well maintained but a bit spartan. We will stay here again for a weekend get away.

We love to visit Tim's Ford State Park! Several walking trails, wildlife, and cleanly kept. Great for a day hike/swim or to camp for a few days.

Tim's Ford State Park in Winchester, TN, has some very nice hiking trails, including a three mile (one-way) paved hiking/biking trail that starts at the visitor's center and winds across a bridge out to a peninsula jutting into the middle of the lake. The park has picnic areas, camping, fishing, a golf course, and boat ramps. No food available in the park, soda machines at visitor's center. Nice indoor restrooms at visitors center too. Go enjoy a walk in the woods!

For years, before we moved up to Winchester, TN, our family camped at this park. They have great camp sites, some of which are drive through for large 5th wheelers. Now, they have a nature center with recreational programs for kids and adults of all ages. Weekly programs schedules can be found at the Visitor Center from Memorial Day to Labor Day.arwith Ashli Cook, one of the Forest Rangers. This year, they have put in over 70 miles of trails, including one over a swinging bridge--which our family used to take. The park also has an excellent Jack Nicklaus Bear Trace Golf Course and pro shop, Lakeview Marina, 20 AAA-sanctioned cabins, two full campgrounds, Olympic-size swimming pool, air-conditioned recreation hall, and 3 picnic shelters. There is with a clubhouse, where you can sit in a rocking chair on the porch, sipping a tall cool one after a game. You will never stay or visit a more "natural" environment.

I love the walk or bike ride out to Weaver's point. It is a picturesque walk thru forest and along side the lake. I love to do this trail in the autumn with the leaves changing. It has gentle rolling hills and a few benches along the way for a brief sit. From the Picnic pavilions to the end of Weaver's point and back is about 6 miles. We have often seen deer along the way on this trail.

We are not experienced campers so this was a great place for us to experience the camping life! Electricity and water hoop up at your camp site! Clean restrooms and showers in walking distance. Beautiful hiking/biking trails. Picture perfect scenery. I loved it and we will vacation here again!!

This is the second time my family and I have been to this park. Both times were in the off season so it was not very busy but we had a great time. The hiking trails are kid friendly and the entire family enjoyed the wildlife. We stayed in one of the cabins which was older but well kept and clean. It had a huge back deck with a great view of the lake. The staff was fantastic. They were overly helpful and knowledgeable of the local sites. They did everything possible to make you feel at home

The scenery isn't captivating, but if you're nearby and need to stretch your legs, the walking trail is pleasant.

Great place. The lake is beautiful. Can be crowded during holidays but still a great pace for family outings.
