Stopped into the Brass for an hour or two during my first trip to Cripple Creek with friends. Was planning to go to a bunch of casinos but only made it to the Brass and Wildwood. Brass was nicely laid out and had a good number of table games and slots to choose from. Only complaint is they had an incredibly loud band by the front door next to some of the table games, and you literally couldn't hear the dealer talk, nor could he hear me. Price you pay for goin on New Year's I guess? Other than that it was a good experience and I would return.
Love playing black jack or craps at this casino. The whole crew of dealers are friendly and keep you entertained (even if you are losing). This is our first choice of places to gamble and return every time we travel up to Cripple Creek. The place is clean and the waitresses are always close by, eager to serve. I personally rate this the number one casino in Cripple Creek.
i found several of the tokens in the gift shop to take home for stocking stuffers for family.... my brother enjoyed the brass tokens and had quite a laugh from them. it's a friendly casino.
Thank you for your review of our casino! We are so happy to hear you enjoyed the atmosphere and complimentary beverages. We apologize that we did not have enough Blackjack tables open to serve your needs that evening, however, when you visit us again, please feel free to ask one of the pit bosses if they can open another table and they will make their best effort to do so. We pride ourselves in customer service and want to make sure we do everything within our power to make your visit more enjoyable. Hope to see you again soon!
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our "casino whose name shall not be written". We are so happy to hear you had a good time and enjoyed the atmosphere. It's always nice to hear positive feedback about our staff. The waitress you mentioned, Rachel, takes having fun and meeting new people to a whole new level and we are happy to hear you had the opportunity to interact with her. Please feel free to ask for her again on your next visit! Hope to see you again soon and good luck!
Ok.. most of the reviews are about how much they won. Do readers really think they are going to a casino and win EVERY TIME? Let's be honest. I am here on a Monday night. Entire town pretty much dead. This weekend is the big Donkey something which will be the highlight of the summer events. Many should be here and maybe bring some life to this really dying town. Sorry, but it's the truth. As for this casino.. I gave it a fair chance and nothing paid.. and was the same way in the entire town. However, they have to pay their employees and bills first... I understand that.. but not with my money. I watched others for a long time.. and none of them won either. There were little to none of the slots paying off. (This review has nothing to do with the "tables" nor the video POKER machines. I just pay my limit on the slots and then stop. I feel it wouldn't be fair to review without even trying. Of the 100s of pulls and spins.. almost none of them paid.. and this is for the 1c and 5c slots. The 5 or so pulls on the $1 slots were all fruitless... and the same for everyone else around me. Just saying this so you won't come here thinking you're gonna win like all the other reviewers.
played like 6 hours an won like 180 bucks. played a few different machines an card games an had a good time
Quaint, old-time casino.....with free popcorn and sodas and drinks while you play slots/video poker....also had a contest with a big wheel spinning for a chance to win a car.
It's not like Lousiana, however this casino and the others with it (Midnight Rose, JP McGills) Normally known as The Three Crowns from what locals told us... was good for a small town. We rode the shuttle bus from Colorado Springs, and I highly recommend them! It was a nice easy ride. We ate dinner at the Midnight Rose.
Typical busy casino with lots of slots and gambling action in view. This casino is aveage at bst - but I liked the large brass statue.
My wife and I enjoy an evening getaway a few times a month. We normally will go to Cripple Creek. The drive and the views are great! When we do arrive there are only a few casino's that we enjoy playing at, this is one of them! The main reason is the blackjack dealers at these locations. This casino has a lot of tables to enjoy and you can typically find a seat. We have always found the service really good. We normally don't play other table games, but if your interested they do have a others, normally its busy. If slot machines are your thing, well they have a lot of them. They also have the best pizza in town.
Played blackjack for several hours. The dealers were friendly and informational about the area. It made the atmosphere relaxing and enjoyable besides just gambling.
Of the many casinos I've visited in Cripple Creek, the BrassAss is easily the best! For me, this rating comes from their customer service and friendliness. The card tables were easily a fun social occasion, and the dealers were naturally very friendly and conversational. I would go again if given the opportunity!
Great place to gamble, however usually impossible to find the bar tender or wait staff. You can always know your going to stay entertained but if your a drinker I suggest sitting at the bar and playing video poker.
Many fun slot machines and a fair payout.... exciting!
