The Egyptian Coffee Shop at 2509 Steinway is a great place to stay at night.. play some Backgammon and smoke some dry Narghille (they don't use water) - The spinach based dishes are the best. You may wait a few minutes to get some service on a busy night but just be cool and chatty and this place will start to feel like home. Nice comfortable old couches and no cheap florescent lamps.I want to come back here again and try more of the dishes. Some of them I have never seen before on Moroccan, Lebanese and Israeli menus. The food is fresh and the prices are not bad.
