This winery had a good selection of wines. It was a nice location and friendly service. Its nice when the bartenders know the wines and have something to share.
Hubby and I went to this place last year and loved the "Sweet Little Blonde". Came back this past year and fell in love with the place all over again. The owner is friendly and makes you feel right at home. He really makes the wine tasting fun! Also, he gave me a free tasting of a wine he thought I would like and man, was he right! It's called "Wildcat" and did it hit the spot. The location and views are spectacular. There was also a bridal shower outside and it looked so picturesque. My favorite part was having a glass (or two...) of Wildcat while sitting in comfortable chairs on the front porch. My little piece of peace... just heaven. Go there. While you're at it, do the wine and beer tours. You get a booklet and each place you visit, they mark off their spot in the booklet and give you a freebie just for stopping there. After you visit all 6 places, you get a pretty wine glass with the names of the places on it. But, please don't just stop there....you must have a drink. New York wines are incredible.
What better place where horses are in the back, and people friendly? This is part of the Cooperstown Beverage Trail. This small but warm place had great wine. Very knowledgable of all they had, did not push sales (even though we did buy) and nothing but positive attitudes! Would go again!
Rustic Ridge is a very scenic winery located in beautiful central NY. The wines they have represent some of the best NY has to offer and their tastings provide you with a great opportunity to select the bottle which fits your tastes. The owners Rick and Laurie are great hosts providing a very festive atmosphere for any weary traveler.
A gem in the middle of nowhere.Nice tasting room, friendly and knowledgeable staff.Decent wines at reasonable price.Worth stopping if you're in the area.
This is a nice little winery tucked away in a beautiful location. It is family owned and the owner and his "greeters" (2 dogs) were very friendly. The wine was pretty good and there was a larger selection that we expected.
Probably the nicest tasting room on the Cooperstown Beer/Wine trail. Wine was ok, a good sampling from the region.
This is the cutest little "big" winery I have been to in a long time. This family owned and operated facility has the greatest offerings in the area. They offer a great variety of wine choices, cheeses, and wine gifts. This is definitely a place not to miss!
Worth the drive, this small winery is located in the picturesque hills between Edmeston and Cooperstown. You can rent out the winery for special events in warm weather. Friendly owners and an eclectic mix of wine gifts make it a fun destination.
The Cooperstown Beverage Trail has been expanded to six stops, with Rustic Ridge joining the trail. We started our day at Rustic RIdge. The tasting bar was full up when we first got there, so we browsed the place, and in about 10 minutes there was a place for us.The taster gave us a list of the wines they sell. For 3 dollars you can taste 5 different wines, and for 3 more you can keep the glass. They have a large selection of wines, from dry to sweet. Friendly staff and good wines make Rustic RIdge worth the trip!
This is by far one of the best wineries we visited while staying in Cooperstown. Situated on a gorgeous parcel of land, the winery itself affords you the ability to see the vines that produce the grapes you are tasting in their wines. The woman who led us on our tasting was very friendly, very knowledgeable and had a wonderful sense of humor. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this vineyard and would highly recommend it.
This winery is adorable! The owners were proud to host a wine tasting and smiling from ear to ear. It's set way out in the country, but worth the drive. Try the chardonnay!
Worth the drive. Beautiful scenery. Some very nice wines, and very pleasant staff.
A very nice facility nestled in beautiful country. Well worth the short drive from Cooperstown. The only disappointment was that they neither grow the grapes nor make the wine there: all is shipped in from the Finger Lakes area. But for a pleasant stop with genial and enthusiastic hosts and a wide range of wines and local produce, it was a very pleasant surprise.
In a mere year and a half, this new addition to the area has been very active, hosting craft show vendors, pork roasts and weddings. I've been there several times and really like the wines as well. There are glasses, tshirts and even a chocolate fountain on special occasions. jellies, and thinking outside the box (no pun intended) makes this place worth the visit to the sticks. it is actually on a main road and near Cooperstown, on the beverage trail, which I think will only help its success. Way to go.
