The entrance to the hike is a little tricky to find, but if you locate the Snow Goose Bed and Breakfast (www.thesnowgoose.com), the entrance is about 100 yards south, on the same side of the road as the B&B. You hike up Deer Brook, the trail is clearly marked, and if the water is high there is another route, clearly marked, for that circumstance. It's a short hike in distance, but steep, so allow 4 hours and bring water and some snacks. The view from the top is great, and since it's not one of the higher peaks in the area you can usually have to the top to yourself. We did it with a 12 year-old and a dog, and it was tiring but great.
