The breakfasts here are the best in the Adirondacks! We had the omelet quesadillas one day, and the pecan french toast another. The wait staff is very personable, the gift shop inviting, and the food delicious. The best part was the price!
A friend drove by this shop and cafe as she was shuttling campers to a canoe trip put-in a few weeks ago. Summer camp ended Sunday, so we were free to take a drive north to check it out. The shop included small gifts, gorgeous ADK rustic furniture and furnishings and, apparently, they also will assist you in building your dream log home, too. We had lunch, free coffee included, in the cafe section. All sandwiches include some sort of salad (bean salad today; I turned my nose up at that, but it actually was quite good.) and chips, chips & salsa, or carrot sticks with ranch dressing. All sandwich entrees were the same price: $6.95, a very good value for generous portions. Sandwiches, except for some traditional ones, such as burgers and BLTs, were creatively named after hiking trails in the Adirondacks. The menu included a map and description if each of these trails, a clever touch. The sandwiches were very tasty and the decor very fitting of a cafe in the Adirondacks. Our only concern was that service, though very friendly, was a bit slow. This is the place for a subdued lunch with friends, not a fast food meal. Highly recommended.
My husband and I happened upon this cute restaurant/gift shop on our way home from New York. We were extremely happy with our breakfast, I had great eggs benedict, and my husband had a full breakfast, eggs, bacon and toast. We both had juice and coffee-total bill? $16!!! We happily drove away with full tummies for the rest of the day. Everyone was very nice, and the gift shop is really cute!
