The displays are very interesting about the old mill town and the culture of the area. The place is very cold (it is an old mill) and some of the rooms are a little bare, but it is worth a visit if you're a history buff.
This little museum is worth your time. The exhibits change regularly and the hosts/hostesses have lots of additional info.
I nice start to what premisses to be a great museum. They will be moving in the next year or 2, to what looks like a great location.Nice to see, read and hear about the community and the people who built it.It's a small museum at this time. About the only thing I didn't like, was the timeline chart on the area, which had a lot (to much in my opinion) on the Somalians. I say to much, because they had nothing to do with the development or creation of Lewiston / Auburn Maine as far as I can tell?
Museum LA Is a great way to learn about the history of Lewiston and the Bates Mills Complex. Housed in one of the former mill buildings the Museum features an interesting collection of memorabilia.
Changing exhibits of work and history of the Lewiston-Auburn area....well done and fabulous new museum in the works
