northern heights farm

My wife gave me a trip to Northern Heights Farm as a Valentine's Day gift this year. I am very glad she did. We got to take a ride in a one-horse open sleigh (being a bit of a Christmas fanatic, I have always wanted to do this). Our horse, Grace, was very enthusiastic, and did an admirable job pulling our driver, Jeff, as well as my wife and I along. The sleigh was outfitted with a very thick blanket that kept us warm as we rode along, but I was still glad I brought adequate winter gear. The owners, Jeff and Colleen, were super nice, and after the ride they invited us in to stand by their wood stove and chat, which we did for almost an hour. Their farm is very impressive beyond the draft horses, with ponies, sheep, donkeys, and probably more animals I don't recall at this point. I cannot recommend Northern Heights farm enough. Come for a visit and Jeff and Colleen will make you feel like part of their family.

Neat sleigh ride, very pretty scenery and thanks to our horse , Grace, for pulling us through the Snow White it was about 9 degrees with a lot of fresh snow.
