Pretty good lay out but not in good shape for the money...Back tees are a challenge...Just ok for me...

My son and I played here and first of all, conditions were excellent. Play was slow as the starter said - Friday of Labor Day weekend, the traffic on the course mimics Route 1. I'm a bogey golfer, can go lower, can go higher. Why not provide some help with distances??? The back 9 is all shot placement with nasty out of bounds along both sides, so why not put some distance at the tee boxes or on the card? I don't want to play with a GPS unit, but its nice to know the distances to landing areas when you've never played the course. Even the par threes were a challenge as tees were moved and there wasn't a good monument on the tee box to measure off of. Simple things that can make a big difference. If you aren't a shot maker, bring plenty of extra balls.

Relatively flat course, tee boxes for all skills. Very well thought out golf course, fairways are excellent and the greens are large and challenging. This course requires some accuracy, try to keep the hole in front of you and you will score well. This is a fun course to play. No driving range but they are building the largest putting green practice area in the world? This course is worth a tee time for serious golfers.

Friendly pro shop staff, comprehensive selection of goods(pick up plenty of balls) this is a good test of golf, and has that touch of wilderness about the course (no Condos) if you want to play the tips be prepared for 90-100 score, take a tip and play the blues or the greens, and enjoy it.

I've played here twice while away on vacation, a couple of summers ago and just recently a week ago. My review is based on my recent visit (first visit would have received a Very Good rating). The course itself is a nice setup, a fun track to play. For those wanting to hit balls before your round, there is no driving range and the putting green is currently under construction. I had a couple of gripes during my visit. First, the greens had recently been aerated, and several had bare or burn spots. No mention of this was made when I called to book a tee time. I understand why (courses don't want to turn away business), but if you're going to charge a $68 fee on a weekday, I want to see above average course conditions. The tee boxes were average, but to be fair, the fairways were in nice shape. No beverage cart was available, and water locations were few. Overall, this course was not up to par with other local courses in the same or less pricy bracket.

Attractive course. Tight with some forced carries and target golf holes (especially par 5s) No range or putting green. Gas carts One temp on May 23 with significant damage on many greens. Raining lightly when we arrived but no towels to dry off the cart seats. Cart path only despite fairways pretty dry. No HC flags for carts. Tough walk for me with my ankle, hip and knee issues. On balance, nice course that needs a few amenities.

This is a semi private club . It is easy to walk as course is not too hilly. Accuracy paramount. Bring plenty of extra balls !!!!!!!!!!!

Have been asking around before playing this course. All positive reviews. Loved the fast play and each hole was unique. One hole, The Cape, was especially challenging. The name speaks for itself. Then came, Son of Cape, hahaha. Also thought the clubhouse had the best attire I have seen around. Will definitely return to play here.

Challenging course . In great shape. Nice people belong to this CC. Pretty flat , so easy to walk. Fast play 4-4.5 hours per round.

Not necessarily easy to play: target golf on every hole. Beautiful landscape and setting. Greens and fairways in "mint" conditions".

Played 3 golf courses in the ogunquit area. Picked 3 different type of courses - Old Marsh, Outlook and Legdes. I'd play all three again.Old Marsh is a rather new course in a marsh setting, so make sure you hit the fairways. Not a long course, but a lot of fun and challenging holes. Water, sand, marsh - be careful. A bit of a windy day made for some excitement. Course management is key to a successful day. Course was well kept and still being worked on.This course had a weirdest hole I've seen, #10 (The Island) - a par 4 dog leg right. When you approach your driver to hit to the green - you find it to be an Island with sand and stuff all around. Not bad - however, 10 yds past the green is a house! Hit the ball a little long and you are in the garage or hitting the house, Not sure what the builders of the neighborhood were thinking.Food at the club house was nothing special, I'd recommend eating somewhere else.

Old Marsh Country Club was build on a marsh and is a beautiful trac to play. It is challenging and rewarding. Stay straight on you tee shots and it is fun to play, get a little left or right and enjoy the scenery while looking for your ball. The course is well maintained, the fairways are plush and the greens make you work while reaking the slopes and valleys. The 17th green is said to be the largest in Maine. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, the grill and bar is very good. My wife and I have been members for 2 and a half years and enjoy the course. You'll play all the clubs in the bag, see interesting wild life and enjoy the solitude of the area. Come and play, you'll enjoy it. (Bring extra balls if you aren't "down the middle." Well worth the trip. www.harrisgolfonline.com/oldmarshcountryclub_index.php
