I go to McCoy stadium a few times a year and always (unless I'm deployed) for the military veterans game and the 3-4th of july they have the BEST fireworks show!!!
The Pawtucket Red Sox (Pawsox) play especially well and when some of the Red Sox players are sent down they enhance the game. This is a family-friendly stadium because tickets, concessions and parking are all reasonably priced. Fireworks during the summer games are a great bonus. You can see a Pawsox game easier and cheaper than making the trip to Boston's Fenway Park.
Old stadium brought up to AAA standards, ample parking and easy in & out to Route 95.......Good restaurants in the area....
We weren't able to see the Boston Red Sox play as they were out of town, so we took a little drive to Pawtucket and saw the last game of the season. I managed to buy seats online right behind home plate for $12.The atmosphere is great, concessions are good and cheap, and the stadium is really nice. We managed to park in the surrounding neighbourhood for free, and it was just a 5 minute walk away. This was our first minor league game and based off this experience, we would definitely do it again, whether it's here or elsewhere.
Nice stadium, plenty of parking, not an expensive night out for the family. Get to see the players before they make it to the big league Red Sox.
My friend took our 4th MiLB trip & one stop was to Pawtucket to see the Red Sox Triple A team. The trip was great but once you got there you really appreciated the history ( longest game ever played ). Very family friendly, Parking , admission were very reasonable. Food was good $ reasonable priced , got nice & interesting comments on my Phils gear from the very nice fans inside. Even won a prize ( possible Color TV ) but was unaware until after I got outside & we were pressed to get to our next city. Visited in 2009.
Always a great time to watch the Pawsox play especially when some of the Red Sox players have been sent down. Beautiful family friendly stadium with reasonably priced concessions. Fireworks during the summer games are a great bonus and the price of the tickets can't be beat. Fraction of the cost to attend a pawsox game compared to making the trip up to Fenway. Would recommend a trip if you're in the area.
The park was recently refurbished, so the seats are nice and comfy. The food is very good, although very over-priced, and be prepared to wait in line on busy days.
McCoy makes for a great summers evening, We love going here it is cheap not like going to Boston, good seats no matter where you sit. The action is always great to. Lots of good memories here.
The best summer please to go .Real close to home . A very cheep please to take your family. The pref k summer time day or night all a happy are.
At Mccoy stadium there isnt a bad seat in the house and the food is reasonable and general admission is 5 bucks so you can take a huge family for short money!!! But the best part is you get to watch up and coming players before they go to the Boston Red Sox!!!! and sometimes the big stars (BIG PAPI) rehab in Pawtucket!!
This is a nice place for kids that like baseball. Cheap , except for food and souvenirs. Get there early for good parking. Not to far from bus lines though.
Cozy surroundings. Very good food concessions. Great souvenir shop. This a great spot to spend an afternoon. This organization tries very hard to provide a very interactive fan experience. Finally, the price is right!
Not a bad seat in the entire stadium and you won't go broke bringing the family there. Excellent baseball for a fraction of what Fenway will cost you. Definitely worth a few trips, or more during the baseball season.
Friday Night Family Four packs are the best. We've seen Henry Owens, Matt Barnes, Mookie Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr, Daniel Nava, Steven Drew, Curt Schilling, Pedro Martinez and a range of others from Boston starters to greats in our time going. They have awesome events at night (from card sets and free t-shirts to fire works and PawSox caps) and a few cool things going on during the day (Tuesdays you can enter to win a shot at throwing a $10K pitch). If you've got kids you can get them a picture with the Paws (they have two mascots, ones a boy and the other his lady bear) or just watch the game (every seat is really good and if you arrive early enough there are quite a few foul balls going into the stands to grab). It's always been a great night out for us and the traffic isn't nearly as bad as other similar events (the Providence Bruins tend to be a bit more difficult to get into and out of due to their location in downtown Providence). Highly recommended.
