Right next to Four Roses, this little shop is a must see. Susan Burge is a wonderful artist and utterly delightful woman. Her pottery is available in the shop along with the works of many other Kentucky craftspeople. We collect hand made pottery and Susan's work is our current favorite. We find her very creative and experimental. Her work is not static, thus always interesting to returning visitors. Her engaging personality will definitely brighten your day.
Coming from Ohio, on our to see list was Four Roses Distillery. They put on a great tour and we bought lots of fun goodies. As we were leaving, almost same driveway was this funky looking fun house,,,, ELEMENTS CLAY STUDIO. What a surprise, it was filled with clay items to paint, YOURSELF !!!!!! :) Out of our class and comfort zone. Susan was so delightful, she just sparkled and in no time had us in a chair,,,, painting. We had such fun. Of course mine turned out ugly, ( I knew it would ), but how fun is that.. I even got returned money in a card, I had over paid in shipping. THAT,, does not happen very often. Great business. Susan I am so happy Rachel and I got to meet you and you did share in our "GIRLS TRIP". Thank you
This is a must stop to make in Lawrenceburg! Susan was so nice and helpful. Great prices on pottery painting. Nice cozy atmosphere. Would love to visit again!
Elements sits beside the Four Roses bourbon distillery in southern Anderson Co. and is a great spot to come with friends. I visited as part of the Girlfriends Package offered by the Lawrenceburg Bed and Breakfast. Susan, the owner of Elements, is very welcoming and ensures you enjoy the experience. They offer a wide selection of pieces to paint. Susan also offers for sale a great selection of locally made jewelry and crafts in addition to pottery. We had a blast!
What a wonderful stop to make while in L'Burg. As the Innkeeper at the LAWRENCEBURG BED & BREAKFAST, this is one place that we like to send our Guests to. Located next to the Four Roses, Elements has not only beautiful pottery but many local products available and can custom design pieces for you. We had a group staying with us last week that attended the Paint Your Own Pottery class (there is a charge for this), and they had a ball. Susan was so helpful and patient with the Ladies, making their Girlfriend Weekend Package complete.Whether you are visiting the area or are a "local", be sure to stop by and see all that she has to offer.
