We were on our way to the Corvette Assembly Plant and stopped in for lunch at the union. Beautiful campus with an all you can eat buffet at the union for $8.
It's a nice campus, but not really anything to do there unless you are attending a game. Parking is hard to find and expensive when you are able to find it.
We just drove around this campus and we were impressed by the general beauty. It would be a great though somewhat challenging walk through this campus.
Didn't get to walk around campus because it was new years day, but was able to drive around the campus and it is very clean and we liked how the dorms were all together and not so spread out over the grounds like some campus'
Parking was easy in the garages. The campus has had much construction lately and it's beautiful. The refurbished "DUC" has great places for a quick bite or coffee.
there for HS state football game, easy to find, easy to park but cost as expected for event. Helpful friendly staff. Concessions fair...ran out of a lot of items, hot dog dry on stale bun.
Western Kentucky has a beautiful campus. We had an issue locating where our meeting (prior to the game) was and everyone was willing and gracious to help!
Went back for homecoming and hadn't been there in several years. I was impressed! The campus has grown immensely but still stays student oriented. The campus is beautiful and well kept. Lots to see as you walk around and several museums and exhibits to see. The stadium was amazing and high quality.
We'd not strolled the WKU main campus, "ON THE HILL" for many years. I always take visitors thru the campus, driving, & expose them to it's beauty. Today, the AUTUMN crisp air, & warm sunshine "called out" for a stroll. We parked at the top of the hill, near the Newman Center, & it not only brought back memories, but we saw how the campus has been beautified, over the past few years. This CAMPUS is definitely a "JEWELL" of BG, & Kentucky.
We heard a beautiful vocal/choir performance at Van Meter Hall. WKU has a beautiful campus. The only problem is parking. Be prepared to walk up a hill, since the its the only way to reach the hall.
I am a university professor and enjoy running marathons in towns that have a university. The marathon was a double loop course, about 40% that ran through the campus and nearby neighborhoods. The campus is beautiful and well-maintained.The next day, before we left town, we stopped by the bookstore to look around. Nice, modern building, clean public restrooms - basically, the campus seems to take care of all the details. One other comment - I like to make note of the proportion of the student body that wears their own school attire (e.g., sweatshirts, ball caps, etc.) I typically associate small proportions to low school pride. Not here - everyone here was wearing WKU attire, no Kentucky or Vanderbilt or Tennessee gear allowed, apparently. Really nice place.
New building with ample parking and amenities. The food service is excellent if you plan to have an event in the building. The campus is beautiful and well kept.
The college is on top of a hill overlooking the town. Great places to take pictures. Many students were crossing the streets during noon hour. Got to take pictures of professor Cherry.
We've enjoyed every one of our visits to WKU the past two years, where our daughter is a sophomore. The Honors program is one of the best I've experiences, and I've been in higher education for 33 years.
Very easy to get to. The leaves and the view are wonderful. Very nice size school. Nice to be around the student union and the food at fresh is very good.
