It is a real treat to visit Canaan Valley, Davis, and Thomas, WV. We have been visiting annually for 60 years, and the WVHighlands Artisan Gallery is a valuable co-op for regional artisans!Nearby Thomas also has two Artisan Galleries.The WVHighlands Artisan Gallery is on the opposite side of the street from Muttley’s Steakhouse. Davis is a tiny village, and street parking is in abundance. Park anywhere and simply ask one of the friendly locals where the WVHighlands Artisan Gallery is located.There is a resident artist who can explain the history and details of the great artwork. We never negotiate on prices at the WVHighlands Artisan Gallery, or at the Thomas galleries.We drive to Canaan Valley to ski. Canaan Valley Resort is a four-season delightful resort, and is centered in Canaan Valley State Park about 10 miles from Davis. Black Water Falls Resort is also a four-season delightful resort, and is very near downtown Davis.We always have room for a special WV treasure from one of the three galleries.We highly recommend a visit.

I always try and visit here. I own several prints of places I have visited or hiked. There are many things to delight and lots of fine gift choices. The artists take turns running the store so it means more to me when I meet the person who made the item. Really worth a SMTP if traveling in Davis.

I enjoy browsing in arts and craft shops even if I'm not in the market for anything in particular. This shop has high-quality work in a variety of materials and media. The shop displays pottery, wood crafts, jewelry and other items. We enjoyed looking at everything and couldn't resist a beautiful clay bowl.

The gallery is located in 'downtown' Davis. 22 juried artisans have a diversity of items for sale from watercolor and photography to pottery and fine-crafted wooden baskets. Antler lamps are unique, as well as beautiful hand-crafted jewelry plus soap, wearables, and leather.. Gallery is open everyday from Memorial Day to Labor Day 10:30 am - 5:00 pm. The rest of the year the gallery is open Thursdays through Mondays. Great place to brouse.....
