masur museum of art

My family and I visit the Masur Museum whenever we are in north Louisiana. Their exhibits are wonderful and always creatively installed in the beautiful historic home that is the museum. On top of that, they offer many classes for children and adults! It is a must-see (more than once since the exhibits change several times a year) and shines among the cultural attractions in Monroe.

Definitely a point of interest for the art enthusiast; but, also a great place to learn about various types of art. There are a TON of events offered for the younger audiences, too. The Masur Museum hosts some evening events that would make an awesome date night outing. Party 318 is a must attend event for people of all ages. Museum memberships are available and a great way to have your pic of the array of things to do. The staff is also pretty amazing.

We so enjoyed the exhibits and personality if this fabulous museum. The art, the people, and, the buildings are a true hidden treasure in Monroe. I can't wait to go back to see what's new at Masur!!

We stopped in during a visit to Monroe and I'm so glad we did. Rivals big city museums! Definitely worth the trip - you'll be pleasantly surprised.

An excellent spot to visit while in Monroe/West Monroe, the Masur Museum is open Monday - Friday until 5pm, and Saturdays from 12-5pm. A great place to take family and friends!
