Our vacation was plagued with rain. So we tried Adventure Island arcade. It was fun! Just big enough of a facility with games for young and older. I have kids ages 8, 4 and 3. All had a blast and could participate. Games all take quarters and are reasonably priced, in my opinion. As for the place as a whole, they have mini golf, go karts, etc. it looked even more fun on a sunny day! Call ahead or check website to verify height restrictions. They have snacks there, however it is a non-smoking/non-alcohol establishment. *yes on diaper-changing station in women's restroom(I decided to start adding this)
We went to the HUGE Arcade building on front of road that was not Adventure Islands, walked it walked out to the one in the back and LOVED IT!!! Husband enjoyed the many Pinball machines and daughter and I love the multiplayer ones! Great ticket redemptions!
Great park and arcade. Prices aren't bad and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Rides and park were very clean and fun. The flight simulator is not to be missed! It was on low level with only 5 flips upside down and still rivaled some very good coasters I've been on. Ride it last if you have a weak stomach! The arcade was about average as are all arcades. Some games did win you a huge amount of tickets tho so if you're with children look for the high scorers! We will definitely come back to adventure island in future trips to the beach! Beats chuck e cheese and incredible pizza type places by a long shot.
Enjoy a night with your friends or family playing a round of putt putt golf, then laser tag, and finish off with a paddle boat ride. Entertained and laughed for hours.
We went here this past year while on vacation. It was awesome fun for us all. We played tons of games together and raced go-carts as well as played a round of mini-golf. The kids loved it and so did we!
My review is based only on cold-weather activities: The arcade, and laser tag. Every year my family visits Orange Beach and this is a required stop every year. I would say your dollar lasts a little longer at this arcade than most modern arcades (some 25 cent games, most are 50 cent games, some 75, some 1.00, some more than 1.00). The prizes are ridiculously overpriced but what do you expect? The variety of games is excellent. They also have a climbing wall and rollercoaster simulator. A few of of the games are older and don't work very well. A few of the game they also don't stock with tickets. But for the most part, we really enjoy coming here and will continue coming back.
My partner and I first went there in August and we had a blast. We returned twice in December and the magic was still operating. Back in August a young staff member was flirting with me and I got rid of him quickly. This time, on our first visit, he kept following me wherever I went, and I kept avoiding him. He told me I was pretty and more or less asked me to sleep with him, which I found inappropriate, especially in the presence of my partner. Then, when qe got ready to check out, the girl at the counter looked bored and was chewing gum in a very loud way. The other staff members were very friendly though.
My party of 4 boomers had a ball being kids again at Adventure Island. The mini-golf course was well maintained and nicely landscaped. The arcade games seemed to be in good shape-and they have skee-ball-which I love. Also Deal or No Deal which some of my party seem to excel at! The Go Carts were running and fun to watch.
The best place if you like fun. It has awesome lazer tag, go karts, etc. It has a fun arcade and it has a simulated rollercoaster in the arcade. P.S. the #8 go kart is the fastest right now.
The kids were looking forward to Waterville and were disappointed that we missed their open season. Adventure Island was the alternative. The standard arcade with tickets, go-karts, mini golf, etc. The go-karts seemed to need a little oomph - maybe they needed to be serviced. The kids did enjoy the rollercoaster simulator but was kind of pricey at $7 a head.
Loved the volcano that erupts every hour. The park is located on the scenic highway near hotel and is open after dark.
Much better than other arcades we have visited. A good variety of arcade games. The miniature golf courses were interesting and well-maintained.
My 11 year old daughter and I had a really good time here! We did the bumper boats and the go-carts and then played in the arcade! All the staff were very efficient and friendly. We were really disappointed to find out that the volcano was a seasonal thing and does not "erupt" in the off season. There is no fee to get into Adventure Island. You only pay for the attractions you would like to do.
Our little boy loves mini golf! their course is well maintained and unique with a realistic volcano! He loves going there!
Lots of games, noise level is tolerable. We had 3 kids ages 3, 9 and 15, all 3 had a good time. I was a little annoyed to find a new arcade had been built in front of Adventure Island - be sure to visit this one! Laser tag and miniature golf was lots of fun too!
