calico rock museum

We visited on a Sunday afternoon so the museum was not open. We walked around the little main street and were encouraged at the signs of revitalization. There were several antique shops there that looked interesting and I would like to visit again. They have done a good job of posting historic markers and we spent about a half hour walking around, reading the markers and looking at the old buildings. The town is built on a high bluff overlooking the river, and it is also worth a drive up into the residential area behind the main street.
