I have been a resident of Greenfield for over 17 years and have seen many, many movies at the Garden. What's not to love? It's conveniently located on Main Street with some on-street parking, but lots of additional parking in a couple of lots less than a block away. The prices are super reasonable. $6.50 for shows before 6p and $9.00 for shows after. You will find all of the newest movies playing rated from G to R. There is a full concession stand with a kids pack option that I always get even though I am far from being a kid. You get popcorn, a small soda, and a box of candy. Milk Duds for me please! The owners and the staff are friendly. The place is clean and well kept. I has been open since 1929 and used to be one big theater that has now been divided up into multiple theaters of varying sizes. Renovations to the seats have taken place and they are really comfy. It could use some more updating, especially the bathrooms. The location is great not only for the parking, but also for the proximity to many bars and restaurants that you could easily walk to from the theater. Pizza, Thai, seafood, Korean, steak, etc are all just a bit down the block or around the corner. You can book the theater for private parties. Over the years I have booked many birthday parties when my kids were young. Fundraisers are sometimes held here as well. You can sometimes attend a movie just by bringing in a couple of cans of food that will be donated to local food pantries. It's open 7 days a week and you can go on line and purchase tickets ahead of time through their website. Gift certificates are available. They also have a Facebook page.
The selection offered at the Garden Cinemas is always current. Recently, a group of us really enjoyed "The Judge." Over the years, I try to go regularly.
This theatre is a great place. The screens are good, selection excellent and have no complaints. I am very grateful to have this theatre in town.
It's our own local theater and it's not over priced but the theaters are funky. Some of the screens are offset from seating, most of the time it's freezing in the winter and usually not cleaned very well between showings. The walls are thin, so you can hear louder movies playing adjacent to the one you are in. I don't hate it but it wish it was better
This is a Greenfield mainstay. Should do some updating though. I will say the popcorn was good. Try dealflicks.com for deals
This is a great small-town theater offering lots of new titles and movie times. It is relaxed, upgraded seats are comfortable and prices are very reasonable. There are additional perks such as fundraiser movies and special showings where movies can be seen at a reduced price to benefit a good cause. Frequenting this theater is a no-brainer. Go.
