So yes, the kids will bounce around for a while and get tried but I ind this place just dull and boring. We have gone to two birthday parties here and they were dull. the kids got bored, Monkey Joe himself has NO personality and looks filthy. Not my favorite bouncy place.
A lot of people like MJ, but not me. Maybe because I have younger kids and the older ones just seem to knock them over and the parents clearly aren't around or don't care. And with only bouncy houses it can get boring rather quickly. I much prefer Kidz Wurld for the younger kids.
The best times and parties I have ever been too here have been weekend mornings - early. The place is empty, clean, you have lots of attention, and you can easily locate your child. Come Saturday at 5:00 the place is scary. It is overwhelmingly busy, dirty, hectic, the workers are tired, and the kids are wild. Personally, I think it is too small for them to have 4 simultaneous parties of 20 kids and parents - plus the public. Not made for kids under 4 unless it is a morning visit.
It is loud and noisy which is just what one would expect at an establishment that caters to children! My son had his 10th b-day party here and he LOVED it. This is the 2nd birthday party we have had here and we have attended several others. You have a designated party room with a staff member assigned to your party. The staff member serves the pizza, coordinates the cake and gifts, etc. There really isn't a lot of supervision when the kids are running wild throughout the bounce houses but I don't really see that as much of an issue. They have appropriate safety protocol in place to ensure that each child goes home with the right adult.
I was a little nervous about taking my 3 yo grandson on a day when there were bound to be older kids because of a school day off. It was, indeed, much more active than the other times we have gone. HE loved it! There was an abundance of staff monitoring on the actual structures and more on the floor. They were attentive and helpful. I lost track of my little guy for a few minutes and the staff person I approached was on her way to the top of the jump house as soon as I gave her specifics of what he was wearing. We stayed until lunch time from opening at 10 AM. That is plenty for me and him both since he fell asleep five minutes into our ride. This place is a wonderful opportunity for children to learn a bit of independence and free interaction. Parents of really small children who have safety concerns should probably keep their little ones on the two structures dedicated to the 3 and Under crowd. For the more adventurous... let them go for it!Please, people, in the old days we used to play in dirt, don't sweat the small stuff. Oh, parking is great. Admission is $11.00 per child, adults are free. There are other amusements, too. There is an air hockey game, a driving simulator... bring a few quarters...or have the child bring some. The one downside for after school attendance is that it closes at 5 or 6.
Brought my 2 y/o grandson here and he had a blast! You pay in one hour incriments and I dont know if i could stand it for more than an hour anyway! LOL! You must be ever vigilent for the safety of your child as this place is an accident waiting to happen with children bouncing, jumping, sliding and running around like banshees in a fit of excitement! And of course you need to bathe in hand sanitizer when you leave, but heck, you only live once, HAVE FUN WHILE YOU'RE HERE!
If you decide to visit, try to avoid the busy times because it can be overwhelming. Kids love it, but I find the slides etc. become wet and sticky from the kids' sweaty hands. Hand sanitizer is a must.
I have visited Monkey Joes 3 times, and the kids had fun, but each time the staff was USELESS (I have thought long and hard, and useless is the best adjective I could come up with). The first time I was not allowed to leave to feed my child, who has a food allergy, in the car. I was instructed I needed to buy food there- but they did not have ingredients lists. Eventually they allowed us to leave and reenter. The second time, My 2 year old was repetitively smacked in the face by an older child (for no reason- I watched the entire ordeal from down below). There were too many kids on the bounce house for me to climb quickly- and the "Referee" was VERY BUSY TEXTING (or fb messaging, or whatever), but it was certainly not paying attention. My 4 year old ended up knocking the bully down the slide, and I found the mother (who was relaxing by the tv), and of course I gave her what-for, but my child was still hurt and scared- and her child still thought it was funny! I called the owner after and let her know what happened. She dismissively said "Oh, I'll take care of it" Most places would offer a coupon to try again, or an apology or something.... again, wouldn't fix the problem, but would have made me believe they cared. 3 Months later (yesterday) I returned to give it another shot, see if maybe things had improved. My daughter was petrified to go on the big jumps (she did not want to get hit), and my son REALLY wanted to play with her. It was Friday morning and packed with big kids (why they weren't in school, who knows) and lazy parents (PLEASE WATCH YOUR KIDS!) My son asked me if he could go in the empty bouncy with his sister (the under 3 bouncy). I said sure- since I Was right there and noone else was even near the bouncy. The owner came over and insisted he get out- I explained the situation (and that I would ABSOLUTELY remove him if someone else wanted to enter and she said sternly, No, he must get out. I reiterated what happened previously and she defended her referees! There were 3 referees sneakily chatting in the corner, instead of watching the kids (who are not being supervised by ANYONE), looking out for their boss... this went on for 18 minutes before I pointed out to Pamela that THIS IS WHY THE BULLYING IS OCCURING. If a location is going to encourage parent laziness and for parents to not need to watch their kids, then they need to hire and DEMAND that the staff watches the kids. I have witnessed more acts of bullying than I can count on 1 hand. I am not going to give this corporation one more penny, and if you're against bullying, I hope you support other children's gyms as well- kidz wurld, pump n jump..... just not Pamela and her lazy referees.
My five year old daughter enjoyed the six bounce houses immensely. The place is spotlessly clean which Is impressive for a place with little children running around in stocking feet. There is an area for adults with a few chairs and wifi but it's so loud and raucous there is no way that an adult could even contemplate relaxation. It's a nice place for kids from under a year to 12.
This place is a big room with a bunch of jumpers. And when my eight old son gets in there he ha s a blast, nice and easy just way I like it. And its a nice way to be able to read or surf the net while my son has fun. Its a little loud in ther but when you have kids its loud any way. And the price is right!!
