While we were in the area for my daughters college graduation, we were looking for something different to do. Well we happened to fine this unbelievable winery. The lady in the barn (I forgot her name) was so nice and friendly and made us feel so welcome. We also made some new friends that were there on a weekly basis. The wine was delicious, the grounds very nice and you can bring your own snacks and sit at the picnic tables under a canopy. I would definitely recommend visiting here.
We have gone here a couple times and it is always a pleasure. The owners and staff are always so nice. wines good too!
This vineyard was close to our motel and so we decided to check it out during our recent stay in Dartmouth. The owners could not have been nicer in explaining about the wines, how they were made and gave us a taste of all of them. We ended up buying several bottles and stayed to have a glass of wine and some cheese and crackers on the outside patio. It was a great way to spend some time unwinding. Would definitely go back again.
Fabulous! Comfortable, friendly, fun, relaxing, all of the above. Just come and chill. Join the wine club - best value. 2013 White Pinot Noir us excellent! Enjoy.
My husband and I visited Running Brook with my cousin and her husband last weekend. We walked right into the barn and were immediately greeted by the friendly staff. We tried all of the wines that were offered and we told a little about each of them as we tasted. In total we purchased 3 bottles of wine and one membership. Our tastings were comped and we were then offered to chose a wine that we would like to have a glass of as we ventured around the property. A very nice surprise! While enjoying our wine we began talking to a group of women who were enjoying a picnic on the patio. They invited us over and before you knew it, the staff had send out a complimentary bottle of wine for all to share. It was another nice surprise. We really enjoyed our time at the Vineyard, enjoyed the wine and the very nice staff.
We were greeted by a cheerful employee who was also in charge of our tastings. The wine we sampled was excellent, mostly whites with two reds. We weren't convinced on the red blend so she was nice enough to offer a second sampling, which you don't find at other vineyards. We purchased 3 bottles, 2 white and the red blend and then we were surprised when we were asked which wine we'd like to take out to their patio. We sat on the patio and enjoyed our unoaked and oaked Chardonnay. Also, your tasting fee is waived if you purchase any wine, also not the usual with other tastings in the area. We will definitely be returning in the fall for another tasting.
Quick trip on a Sunday, warm, sunny afternoon. Wonderful, knowledgable, friendly staff. She gave a great description of the 7 wines in the tasting. Drank in the wine processing area which added to the charm. Wine was excellent. Bought 4 bottles which waved the tasting fee and they gave us a glass to enjoy on the patio to listen to the live band (a duo playing 60-90s tunes) under the sun or canopy. Couldn't think of a better way to depend a few hours! Will be back and recommend to sell!
Running Brook Vineyard & Winery is a fantastic place to visit. They are an up and coming hot spot for wine and entertainment (they host events every weekend and have an outdoor bring your own food event almost every night) and their wine is excellent. Their Vidal Blanc has turned me into a white wine drinker. Pack a picnic and head over there to do a tasting and buy a bottle. They're not pretentious and are super welcoming. You will not be disappointed!
I visited this vineyard on a beautiful day in May and enjoyed it very much. A nice selection of wines are offered for the tasting and they were very informative regarding the winemaking process. They said they have music on the weekends in summer and encourage you to bring a picnic, so I will be planning a return trip
Whenever my boyfriend and i go on vacation we always take the time to do a little wine trail. We began with this winery and it was a great place to start. The owner was extremely friendly and inviting. It was a nice laid back atmosphere, and we never felt like unwanted guests. The property is huge and is only a portion of their land. They grow 100% of their own grapes and provide other local wineries with their grapes. We left with two vastly different chardonnays (having been from different years and different crops) They were delicious! They always have music and such at the winery as well but we were not there for that.
Visited on a Sunday afternoon. What a delightful surprise! Wines were excellent, especially the 2010 and 2012 unoaked charndonnarys. We actually liked every wine that we tasted. Friendly, unassuming atmosphere - right in a the barn where they make the wine. Staff was the best - friendly, knowledgable, informative. Pleasant ourdoor grounds to sit and relax. Live music was playing and the artist was great. We joined the wine club which was an outstanding deal. Can't wait to go back.
For my 30th birthday we stopped here as well as a handful of other local wineries. The people who worked here were so friendly, wine is reasonably priced and amazing. Came again over the summer to hang out outside in the tented area with a bottle of wine, brought our own snacks. My friend had her birthday here recently, they were amazing. I will be having my graduation party here this summer. Can't say enough wonderful things about this winery and the accommodating people who work here.
If you're out and about and like wineries, do check out Running Brook in North Dartmouth, Ma. The wines is fantastic and the atmosphere is wonderful. Not a glitz and glamour place but real down to earth people. We did our tasting with the grower and one of the workers. Great conversation, very enlightening! A must visit!!
We visited this vineyard on our trip to Newport. It may not have the upscale tasting room atmosphere of other wineries but it sure is worth a visit because it's all about the wine. We were fortunate to meet Manny and were treated to tastes of what's to come. We were so impressed we purchased a case. An added benefit is that it's a short ride off 195. We will definitely be back.
This a nice surprise. After visiting a few wineries on the cape, this was a pleasant stop. No snootiness or an elitist attitude, just down to earth, good nature conversation. Don't worry if you think you've arrived at the wrong location, you haven't. The entrance is at the side of the barn and you will feel welcomed. The tasting room is no frills, but who cares, you're there to taste their wares and be informed about their history and processes. Their wines are very good and reasonably priced. You'll be back and so will I.
