This is a beautiful winery with a good selection of wines for tasting. We were the only ones tasting on a rainy Friday afternoon, and had the staff's undivided attention. The tasting room is quite beautiful, with a large open area that would comfortably accommodate large groups. Our hostess was engaging and knowledgeable, and the wines we tasted were very good. This winery does source alot of their grapes from the west coast, so expect California style wines. The winery also has an excellent balsamic vinegar to taste as well, and some salsas and gifts. It was a great time.

A great little winery. Really nice wines at reasonable prices. Stop in for sample. They have a good selection and even a wine club that gets you discounts on wine and they have special events too. Lots of wine related offerings as well. I recommend this winery.

Visited with Friends yesterday on my birthday. We had some of the wine at a concert at the Crane Beach Estate and decided to check out the winery. The place is very nice and clean. The staff were very helpful and we got to pick the 5 wines we wanted to taste. We all chose the sweeter versions which included whites and reds. We ordered a cheese platter, too. The staff person, Sarah, was very helpful and explained all the wines. We asked about the vineyard and she explained how that works, and how they do use grapes from other vineyards. We all ordered a glass of our favorite wines and chatted and browsed the store. We all bought wine and other items. We were there for a while and did not feel the least bit rushed, even with other guests arriving to do wine tasting. It was a nice afternoon and I plan on bringing other friends for a wine tasting, too.

This small winery is beautiful. They have a lovely tasting room and we tried everything they had to offer. It's rare to go into a winery and want to purchase all of it! We bought 2 cases my favorite would have to be the 2010 select Cab-Merlot blend. We joined their wine club and look forward to going back quarterly for our 6 bottles!

This is a small startup. Most wines are made from imported grapes. They have planted less than an acre of grapes but need a few years for the vines to mature. Very friendly and accommodating. Nice wine tasting for a reasonable price. And many of the wines are OK.

In the small quaint town or Rowley on Route 1 north. A beautiful little winery. It is really pretty inside. You can have a tasting and try several of their wines. They have a Naked Chardonnay, which is not made in oak barrels. It is one of my favorites, so crisp and delicious. Also love their Plum Island Red, such a different taste. It is a nice little spot to stop, on your way up to Newburyport. They also have a nice little gift shop on sight. Be sure to try their balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Both are very tasty and for sale as well.

Off highway 1 on the coast heading north from Gloucester, MA is a small budding winery. They are early in the wine/ grapes growing process using California grapes for their reserves and Cabs/ Merlot Tastings were $5. We purchased a bottle of Chardonnay. Merlot had a cherry deep taste which was also good.

My husband and I visited here on a Saturday afternoon while touring some wineries in the North Shore/Cape Ann area. The tasting was $5 per person for 5 tastings or a special $5 for 3 sangrias made with their own wine in honor of Cinco de Mayo. We both chose the wines. Their Reisling wasn't available to purchase or officially taste as it hadn't been bottled yet, but we were offered a taste after the tasting host learned Reisling is my favorite wine. I forget her name, but the tasting host was very knowledgeable about the wines, food pairings and offered a coupon for another winery close by she thought we might like to go to as well. The wines were a mix of estate and grapes brought in (for the reds) but all are made on site. I loved the old mill location, they did a great job with the renovation! Overall, highly recommend if you are in the area- we ended up purchasing 3 bottles with some great conversation and history too!

Attended a wine and cupcake event here, perfect combination! Location was easy to find, plenty of parking, everyone was friendly and helpful. The event started on time and was very informative. I love the cupcake paring and really had the opportunity to learn about sweet pairings. The wine was so enjoyable, I bought a few!I recommend visiting if your in the area!

I pass the winery every day. They have done a marvelous job restoring the building and turning an eyesore into an attractive location. It is hard to say no to a free wine tasting and a chance to browse wine gear and local delicacies. I will be stopping by to check for stocking stuffers and check recent additions. To date, their wines are not really to my taste and they are on the expensive side. I admire the entrepreneurial spirit of the owners and wish them success.

A great winery with many different kinds of wines, cheeses, and wine related bags, hats, stoppers, etc. We toured the winery as part of a "Trails and Sails" event. It was wonderful. The owner makes wonderful wine and I can't wait to return for his new "Red Dory" which will be ready for the end of October; hopefully. Very nice shop with great ambiance and super service. Stop in and you'll be delighted; I know I was. It's nice to bring my business to a local winery instead of the big chains. Relaxed atmosphere and individual attention to your needs and desires.

Mill River Winery is a local gem in Rowley, MA. Very decent wine; locally made. The Plum Island label (both white and red) are among my favorites. Tasting run from $5 (for 5 of their regular wines) to $10 for tastings that include the reserves. We joined the wine club at our last visit here.

This was the second of two winery stops for my husband and I. And we certainly saved the best for last! We have done many wine tastings and this one ranked up there in our favorites. You get a choice of 3 options: white only (5 tastes for $5), red only (5 tastes for $5), or select wines (5 tastes for $10). We chose the more expensive select wines. We were not disappointed! The wines were wonderful. The wines range in price from $13-40ish. We purchased 3 bottles that cost about $80, but all worth it! We checked out their wine club and may have purchased it, had there not been an enrollment fee and a set rate, rather than a varying one. We missed the winery tour, but will check it out when we go back in the future! We would highly recommend checking out Mill River!

For a small local winery I thought the prices were good and the wine delicious. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Visited on a quiet Friday afternoon for a wine tasting and wound up joining their Wine Club. Chris, the marketing manager, was our host for the tasting and was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the Winery. This is the first tasting we have experienced where we found every wine to be excellent. Steve Tudal is to be complimented for his skill in crafting wines. Mill River is the 'newer' style of winery with a small vineyard and an excellent ability to obtain grapes from around the world to produce most of their wines. This is definitely a great place to stop for those who live in the area and for travelers. The tasting room/store is in a restored cider mill and is very comfortable. Nothing bad to say.
