One of the most breathtaking roads I have ever traveled. Traveled only by vehicle, not bike trails. Sights of the ocean, dunes, natural vegetation, wildlife, all wrapped into one. Gorgeous.

Had a great time biking on the trail around the seashore. The trails were great and wonderful. NO crowds.

You have to be a bike lover this is not for the weak i mean you can try but "Ouch" This gives a whole new meaning of peace and tranquility and lets not forget the ocean. They take such good care of tis place it's almost like a fairy tale at certain times of the day. The wood, the dunes the ocean the sky what else is there

Very peaceful and lovely! the trail is very well maintained and takes you through the most beautiful dunes anywhere!

I loved biking off the main road. Very scenic. Don't underestimate the challenge in some areas. It takes you to all the places you would want to visit at the seashore.

We love to bike ride, but we were not ready for all the up hills on the trails. The weather was beautiful, sun and 57 degrees. We ended up getting a taxi from the Visitor's Center for $25. back to our Hotel at 8 Dyer. It was worth it. Our bikes were no charge from our hotel, 8 Dyer Hotel. We didn't want to be too tired to visit and tour downtown area since the day before was rainy.

Attractive route, well maintained trails. No cafe as out of season so would have been good if visitors centre sold snacks.

The huge dunes and forests in the hollows are fascinating-a unique ecosystem. From the center of town it took 1 1/2 hours to ride and see everything.

Total experience charming....very friendly hosts and the town people were charming. The city is alive with so many cultures and exciting activities.

Provinceland bike trails are about a mile north of downtown P-town and easily accessed by bike (rental shops downtown) or drive to one of the parking lots next to trails. We started at Beech Forest and went on the loop trail (5.5 mi) counterclockwise, with stops at the Visitor center to get a trail map, and adding on the Herring Cove (HC) Beach spur (2.2 mi RT). The loop trail is somewhat narrow, and you need to stay in control as there are relatively steep downgrades and tight turns. We biked on a Monday offseason and the trails were relatively empty. I wouldn't recommend the loop for beginners or little kids as the hills can be steep; helmet recommended. Otherwise, the terrain is wonderful, as you alternate between pine scrub woods, open dunes with vistas, a couple of narrow tunnels, and then an oak/beech forest and ponds as you return to Beech Forest parking lot. There are rest rooms at the Visitor Center, Race Point Beach spur, and HC Beach. HC Beach on Cape Cod bay is sandy, with views toward Plymouth. We've been told that you might spot whales coming into the bay at different times of the year. If you're a casual biker, give yourself two hours to do the loop + spurs.

Apart from a dune tour, this is another great way to see the dunes and take in some amazing views. Be prepared for some serious hills and occasional sand on the (paved) trail. But, it was very well maintained. Get to the trail by riding along 6A to Province Lands Road to the parking for Herring Cove Beach, the entrance to the trail is at the very end of the parking lot.

Great bike ride through the dunes trail to Race Point beach.challenging uphill climbs and glorious stretches of sand dunes til you reach an awesome beach.

We were able to ride our bicycles from our motel through Ptown and get on the bike trail. There are beautiful beach views and there is a smooth, paved wandering path through the dunes and scrub pines. You will get a decent work out and expect wind so dress accordingly. Some of the nicest nature trails on the Cape. It is nice to be able to mix this ride with a leisurely tour of the shops of Ptown so you can place a nice meal to reward yourself

Not much to see. Just a headstond and rocks or shells that visitors left. I walked pass the spot several times. But I did see a red fox on the road.
