We went here with our 12 and 14 year old and it was perfect for them. The course is challenging but not too difficult. There was a 30 minute wait for our tee time but we just played arcade games and had fun. I like the way they space out golfers so we're not waiting behind other groups and someone isn't waiting behind us. We had a really nice time and plan to come back. They offer a military discount also!
We went here over the Christmas break. It was a great family trip. Loved the glow in the dark. Music was fun and a bit loud. Good for all ages but maybe seniors. I think it would be too loud for them. Loved that they did the little prizes and games. I wouldn't want to pay regular prices. I think they are average prices, but when you total up a whole family now days....I got a groupon and it was well worth it.
Keep an eye out on groupon and LS for coupons and deals but even if you don't have a coupon, it's worth the admission price. Movable monsters and aliens try to distract you on the course but not so for this family. The staff made it more fun with extra contests. There's an arcade and places to have birthday parties. Easy parking. Restaurants and Starbucks right around the corner. Just down the street from Columbia. We are coming back!!!
My husband and I had a great time at Monster Mini Golf. It's probably meant more for kids and teens but we're young at heart and had a lot of fun. It's not a super difficult course but for some reason it still seemed to take us a little over an hour to complete it. I know space is limited but it would be nice if they had a second course or something more than just the little arcade as something else to do there, but all in all we enjoyed ourselves and would go back.
I am not a fan of mini golf at all but agreed to go because the remainder of the family wanted to. The blue light attraction almost had me changing my mind about mini golf. It's indoors and friendly for all ages. As usual it started out with fairly easy holes and progressed to those more challenging. The individual holes were creative and several were animated. We were there on a Friday night, the crowd was comfortably busy. Intermittently there were prizes awarded for those with certain colored balls or playing on certain holes at that time. Clothing and "teeth" were reflected in the blue lights adding to the fun. The employees were helpful but didn't get in the way. A great place for any informal event.
This place is great for both families and date nights. I went on a double date there on a Friday night and it was SO much fun! The glow in the dark mini golf is really cool, and they do free prize and ticket giveaway while you play. The arcade they have there is also a blast. Great employees and a great time!
I can't say enough about Monster Mini Golf of Columbia! On Saturday 5/10/14 we had my son's 8th birthday party there and it was the best child's birthday party I've ever thrown or attended. The party hostesses took care of everything. I only had to bring the food & drinks. They served, they supplied the paper goods, they played a game with the kids while they ate and then took them out to play golf, letting the adults play on our own if we wanted to, or sit in the party room if we didn't. We will definitely be taking our boys back to play mini golf another time in the near future.http://www.monsterminigolf.com/fran-md-columbia/
Having an indoor minigolf option is always nice when the weather is bad - although that it can get a little crowded on the course. Small, dark (but with black-lights) and with pumping music, this is a great spot for a kid activity. There is a small arcade with a number of the ticket-dispensing machines that help round out the experience. Keep an eye out for coupons - they often have a good deal floating out there.
Pricey, but My family and I had a great time here. Fun for the kids and as a mom I even enjoyed listening to the dj play some old school tunes and danced while we played. We'd go back next time we're in town!
Went here with a living social coupon. Good activity on a rainy day or maybe in the summer when it's 100 degrees. Kids liked the decorations, not the most challenging actual course but we'd go again. Small arcade area my kids sucked me into. Really pleasant young staff, seemed attentive to a couple birthday parties going on.
It is one thing to play mini-golf but a totally different experience to play "in the dark". Things glow, things move, people laugh. And the best thing is that it is not subject to weather, since it is all indoors.A great way to spend a cold Winter day - pretend you are in the tropics or "down at the ocean".
Glow in the dark - scary themed mini golf open year round. Mostly good - the challenge is when there are many people - not a lot of space on the course for waiting and it does sometimes crowd up.
My youngest son wanted to go mini golfing while we visited Baltimore, so we just googled nearby ares. Came across Monster Mini Golf that appeared interesting. I'm really into Halloween so initially it caught my eye lol. We entered the place and immediately it was awesome. My son (5yrs) said its a little scary mom but after I showed him its just paint and make believe he was all about it. Love the fact it was indoors, since it was in the 90s outside. Overall the concept was really cool, love all the blacklights. Wish the holes were a little spread out between the rest of the course, when a lot of people around sometimes hard to find a spot to stand off the course and not in the way of your neighbor. But it was overall a very cool experience for not really knowing anything about this place. I was happy with our experince definately on a list to do again in another trip to Baltimore.
We had such a great time at Monster Mini Golf! We play a lot of putt-putt and we're always on the hunt for a creative course. My husband generally doesn't like indoor courses but we were looking for a family activity on a hot, steamy day and I had a coupon. Everything in the building is blacklit including pinball machines, golf score cards and pencils, the clubs and the balls. If you go, wear white. It's really fun to watch blobs of white moving around since you can't really see faces and non-responsive clothing. The golf course is laid out very efficiently so that we always knew where we were supposed to go next. The walls, bumpers, holes and decor are all blacklight-responsive and decorated really creatively. The design of the holes is creative and challenging enough to make the course interesting but not so difficult that we just gave up on any one hole. We had a great time and I bought another groupon just so that we can plan to go again soon. Bonus - we were not bothered by those pesky mosquitoes that like to hang out at golf courses that have pretty landscaping and water!
I purchased a groupon for this place and it was well worth the money! I've been too and had a blacklight golf party for my daughter last year in VA beach and it was nothing compared to this spot. The place is a decent size if not to crowded. The wall and floor decor was off the chain....especially the Frankenstein which popped up like every 10 mins. There is 2 party rooms for your child to have a party at and plenty of video game machines too. THey even had a prize desk, massage chairs and I even saw a coat rack....LOL Nice place to take the kids. I will be having my sons party here soon.
