tuckahoe state park

We spent the weekend at Tuckahoe with a large group of friends (12 people total). We had two separate campsites, but both were isolated enough so that we did not disturb nearby campers. There is a large lake where we caught three fish within a half hour! When we came here during the summer, there were kayakers in the lake. There is an Arboretum that we did not have the chance to visit, but we were told its beautiful. Our early November camping trip wasn't too cold, and there was plenty of firewood in the woods. This park was an hour over the Bay Bridge, and the drive went by quickly. There were four dogs total between the two campgrounds. The campground requires that your dog is leashed at all times. Our friends' young daughter enjoyed the fishing and hiking of Tuckahoe State Park. This is a great campground for family camping!
