We were welcomed by the manager right away and got amazing beer that can't be found anywhere else! Absolutely love this place!

Lily is hot, the beer is great and the owners are cool!!! Also, i enjoyed the top-notch ginger beer, which is not available anywhere else in Taiwan.

In the heart of Taipei's Da'an district, just a short walk from the Da'an park metro stop, sits a little beer bar simply called "Beer and Cheese". A fitting name as the menu primarily features beer and cheese. The beer selection is phenomenal, featuring local and imported beers. Most I did not recognize but travelers from the west coast will recognize Elysian, a Seattle based brewery. The staff is also apt at pairing beer and cheese and, will ready suggest a combination to fit your taste. The only drawback to "beer and cheese" is the cost. Portions are small and cheese selections cost between 30$-50$NT In my opinion the atmosphere and selection make "Beer and Cheese" well wor th a visit.

Great expat spot, beer and cheese (how could it be bad?)! Beer selection to rival almost any spot in the US. The specialty is American microbrews but also has selections from around the globe, including some local brews considerably better than the Taiwan "Gold Medal" standard.

Just returned to our hotel from a great couple of hours at the Beer and Cheese Social House. We arrived in the midst of a massive beer tasting. Definitely loud and I was worried about finding us a seat- one of the owners, Tristan, made a place for us at the end of the bar and the amazing night began. Enjoyed all of the beers we were served and we each had one of their famous grill cheese sandwiches along with chips and salsa. The sandwich was TERRIFIC. Other folks came up and spoke to us and in general, we found the crowd to be quite amiable despite the 30 year age difference! :-) Looking forward to coming again on our next visit to Taipei. Friendly staff, a nice mix of expats and locals... Not to mention a fantastic selection of beer you might be hard pressed to find anywhere else in Taipei. Definitely recommend.

Jon, and Ben are awesome. Beer selection is great. Make sure to try the beer special! I had the jalapeño grill cheese, it was wonderful. Can't wait until this place expands to other places across Asia!

It's exaggerated but true. The amount of flavors that Beer and Cheese has to offer is uncanny in comparison to other establishments I've been to in Taiwan, and Asia. The variety of beers they offer are stocked to quench any beer-drinker's desire. Also, they keep new beers coming in with the seasons, so each time I go in there, there is an element of surprise, yet never disappointment. The staff was knowledgeable and fun, and the overall vibe was more relaxed that a club. I've never been with some many strangers who were not only willing to talk about the flavors of the beers, but also willing to exchange tastes with the convenient little shot glasses Taiwan is stocked with. The Tuesdays are awesome because it's "Stein Night"! See for yourself. After my first time there, every other liquid I put into my mouth tasted bland. Beer and Cheese is the place your senses will love, and your tongue will crave. Oh, and the cheese sandwiches are top notch.

Definitely not where you would want to go if you want a traditional Taiwanese experience, but a perfect stop for good beer, good cheese, and good atmosphere. We started with a cheese and beer pairing flight and were immediately won over on beer and cheese as a combo. Great beer selection, great service, great cheese, all in a nice relaxed gastropub.

I'm not much of a beer drinker, but Beer and Cheese has turned me! Now, when I crave good quality beer, I always go to Beer and Cheese to satisfy my cravings. Their beers are tasty, refreshing, and straight class. Every beer I've tried there has not disappointed. The food there is also amazing! I'm excited to try their new sandwiches and I can't wait!

The selection of beer was endless. I can't imagine going back to drinking the usual selection of beer available at 7-11 and it's ilk. Service was great, and I'll definitely be coming back here again and again!
