Had heard about kikar lodge a lot so finally decided to visit. It's about 1.5 hrs away from chandigarh. Road is fine but the last part is bad. Signages are plenty so you won't take the wrong way. Zip line was an exciting & thrilling experience. The guidea were good. Unfortunately other adventure activities were not on.Overall experience was excellent.
Kikar Lodge is a good 2-hour drive from Chandigarh. The road is mostly ok, but the final 5 kilometers of the road is mostly unpaved and can get very tricky after it rains. The zipline is within the Kikar Lodge resort, and they would not let you into the resort unless you show them your tickets (order online). After a short demo, we started going up the hill to reach the 5 ziplines.Since we were only 2 people in our "group", the entire course took apx. 45 minutes. The ziplines themselves were nice - a bit scary for the first time, but after that - quite enjoyable. The view is the main issue. Out of all the "Flying Fox" sites, this one has to have the most boring views - trees and hills and then some more trees, while the other sites feature castles, rivers, etc. .Having said that, this is a fun activity for the entire family. Note that the climb to the hill top can be a bit difficult, especially during hot weather. The two guides we had were great and the equipment seems very safe and secured.Recommended, especially if you come with a group.
Far from Chandigarh, and pretty deep into the village, a looong winding road takes you to this Kikar Lodge. But when you reach there and start the guided trek upwards for zip-lining, you start feeling the trip's worth. When you cling yourself to the zipline and let go, it becomes an amazing experience worth remembering. Fast zips, Long zips, they have a good variety. But thats about it. Kikar lodge does offer Paintball and ATVs (which aren't associated to Flying Fox), and they are useless. So, just zipline, have a refreshment or two and return home. The highway is a dangerous one.
