It's a nice place to stop to refresh. It's a small falls where they managed to make a concrete floor at the bottom on the second part of the pool are.
it's a long 2h drive to get there from GL. The water is refreshing cool, but the surroundings are poorly maintained. There have been some flood water which have destroyed some parts of the hatstand dam walls.
come to this waterfall on surigao del norde its a bit off the beaten track in other words its hard to find without a guide
Nice place to visit but needs a lot more work very commercialised with expensive food and a tariff just to sit at a table, I have visited a lot better with better organisation.
You drive in a bad road to a falls that has about one gallon a minute going over it and this lady runs up to you and wants fifty Pasos before you get off the bike. They need a sign at the road so you have no supprises. I didn't pay because I saw it and didn't want to stay. I gave the fifty Pasos to two kids that waved at us on the way out.
the first thing that attracts you is the natural beauty and the way it is constructed with kobos to have your picnic in ,cold fresh water to relax in ,postcard pics
I hope d officers of this municipality/Barangay will give boost to this beautiful nature. It's so pity if this place will be neglected!
It was probably never much of an attraction, but now you have to pay to enter, and that money is used to build concrete additions to the falls it is very much a waste if time.
We drove our motorcycle into this little place and immediately were greeted with a request for entrance fee. I'm glad we saw what we were paying for before we paid. Turned around and left. Grungy pools, trickling of a water-fall...seriously Taktak...what are you thinking.
Just to let past visitors know that the whole area around these small but beautiful falls has now been totally re-generated with lots of new plants and trees that have been planted , A coat of paint on all of the buildings , the toilets repaired or renewed and even a guy that clears the leaves and other debris from the pools area , So all in all a positive result and well worth a visit , however there is now a small entrance fee of only 5 Pesos but if this helps with the maintenance. then it's a good thing By my estimation the walk to the pools is around 1Km up a slight gradient , you can ride a motorcycle up to the falls or even drive your car there .
These falls are off the road between Burgos and San Benito. The distance away from the main road is about 2.5 kilometres although it felt much further due to the rough road. The falls water cascades into a concrete pool which while aethetically displeasing makes it easy to swim.I visited on a fine day in the late afternoon with the water temperature being plesant. There is an elderly picnic shelter but everything else (former rooms) was in poor to apalling condition.
