Whether you're looking for reasonably priced local souvenirs or original local art, this is the place to go. The shop is filled with a variety of items made locally, no bulk tourist-trap items to be found. Both times we stopped in, the staff was very friendly without being pushy.

We spent 8 days staying in the apartment above the Playa Oeste gallery, So of course we had to check out the gallery. It was definitely worth checking out. They had beautiful paintings, jewelry, glass work ect. The owner was also super nice :)

We were recently on a dive trip in Puerto Rico and spent 8 days driving/diving the Island. One of my favorite places to visit was this Gallery! If you are looking for quality gifts for yourself or others, authentic Puerto Rican art, you MUST visit this Gallery! I purchased two pieces of pottery and truly love both! I first purchased a mug and returned the morning after to purchase a corresponding piece that I could not leave without! I am so pleased with my purchase! Absolutely lovely pottery from a Puerto Rican artist! While we were there, Peggy was so helpful in recommending an exceptional restaurant for my fiancé's birthday dinner in Mayaguez and was so very friendly. She packed my items with great care, which easily made the journey back home with us. I will definitely return, as this store was one of our favorite stops while in Rincon!

Many people do not know that you can actually rent the second floor of this gallery! It's a 3 bedroom apartment. Very modern and a great value. It has everything you need for a stay. The only thing I wish it had is AC. It gets hot and noisy at times (it's right on 413). Owners are great and very accessible. Would definitely recommend to others!

Not to be missed! This shop has very unique and fun gifts, reasonable prices and friendly owners. We buy several things each year on our visit. Friend them on Facebook and see new arrivals when they hit the shop. From tee shirts to local art to hot sauce they are the place to shop. If you are looking for a spacious apartment at a reasonable rate, the second floor of the shop is a rental. Great balcony and easy walk to the beach.

My wife and I own a vacation rental business here in Rincon and always suggest Playa Oeste as the place to shop for the best and most unique gifts. They have a wide selection of handmade crafts, local art, t-shirts, beach wear, Knicks knacks and even stuff like local artisan hot sauce and coffee. They do gift wrapping, pack and ship and will help you find the perfect, one of a kind souvenir that you are looking for. Highly recommended.

We visited the gallery on the recommendation of Sarah from the Blue Boy Inn and it was as great as she described it. We definitely splurged and bought a painting, locally crafted ceramic animal figurines, and hot sauce (which my husband loves). Valerie was wonderful to talk to and we spent nearly an hour talking about animal rescue and restaurants to try out (we went to the one she recommended and it was great).We highly recommend stopping here to buy local crafts for yourself and for people back home. The customer service is fantastic, the items for sale are top quality and you can easily lose track of time browsing around the shop.
