I have been going to the MBYC since I was a little girl visiting my grandparents. They have undergone some renovations and I have found it to be a wonderful place to visit with friends and family. The food is awesome and the all you can eat Friday night buffet is only $28US. Can't beat it! Lovely place to watch the boats come and go from.
The atmosphere was very relaxing and the waiters and waitresses are very good and professional at what they do.The food is lovely, well cooked with lots of flavour, but there really is not much variety.
We drove out to check out the club and found it to be nice but smaller than we would have imagined. The restaurant/bar offers a nice view of the area and would be a respite from the hustle and bustle of the normal Montego Bay area. Check it out.
Pineapple Cup sailor's debark at the Montego Bay Yacht Club on the west end of town. Other restaurants are downtown, a $15 cab ride away. So MBYC is worth considering.Seven of us had a reunion dinner at the club on a Monday evening. Drinks were best obtained directly at the bar. The service was adequate considering the busy time of the evening and our large party size. The menu had a variety of ordinary restaurant choices spiced up with an interesting mix of Jamaican food. Food quality was average and portions were good. Note, the hungry sailors cleaned their plates. The restaurant is on the way from the club entrance to the boat docks. You'll see vessels bobbing on their mooring lines, and perhaps a cruise ship pulling out from the nearby port.
We had a lovely lunch here while enjoying the bay and life around us. The food was very good. We enjoyed watching the yachts being repaired as the sea gulls flew overhead. We asked for drinks on the menu that were not available. We ordered Red Snapper and Conch. Both were very nicely prepared.
Our local rep at unique adventure recommended the yacht clubs international buffet. It is quite reasonable and the food was amazing for the price. I will definitely do this again.
Nice food, nice view, nice staff... everything was excellent! They will even pick you and drop you of your hotel for free, just give them a call.
A late arrival combined with being within walking distance made this our first restaurant stop. It was taco special night, and in hindsight one shouldn't order Mexican in a Jamaican place! Food was average at best, one of our party had a very uninspiring burger...the location is nice with a view to the marina. Candidly, after having since dined at a few other local spots, we wouldn't go back.
Ate here with colleagues on a business trip and the food and service were excellent. They even accommodated a colleague who doesn't trust "foreign food" and prepared him burger and chips, which. He said were the best he'd had on any of the 7 Islands we visited. The rest of my party were more adventurous and all rated the food quality as excellent
Great view and good food! Great location, close to all hotels and resorts. Adjacent to marina and cruise ships.
Lacked ambiance. It looks nothing like its online pictures. There is not a lot to be said. For sure let down.
The food is pretty good, good staff, the atmosphere is gorgeous, so peaceful, great place for a dinner date.
We had a business event at the yacht club back in January and it was very nice. The yacht club had all we needed, really good food and the staff were able to help us with what we needed.
the Yacht Club was close to our resort and so it was easy to get to and the food was very good and reasonably priced. Romaine was our server and did a great job of taking care of us. he was very friendly and talked about things Jamaican.
Went for lunch three times, waitresses were very nice, food was great with good vegetarian selections. We will make this peaceful place a part of every trip to Jamaica.
