Not quite sure how a Egyptian mummy and some of the other items reflect our Chatham history!? More like a Ripley's Believe it or not side show.

Right now you can learn about the war of 1812, as it progressed along the Thames, the death of Tecumseh, the great Warrior chief who fought for the British. And it is free, take the kids, open 7 days per week, but just in the afternoon

If you are researching local history or just interested in the area, this is a must stop. The museum has selectively acquired artifacts of local and national significance. Highlights include artifacts from the War of 1812, a nationally designated Gray Dort automobile, several locally made horse drawn vehicles and a mummy.
