Heron Landing can be played championship tough or nice and easy - just choose from one of four tee boxes. The greens are immaculate, smooth, and hold a well struck shot. Several holes on the course wind along either side of Frog Creek and Rainy Lake - very scenic! The rest of the holes are cut through boreal forest. Green fees were reasonable. Recommend that you try the restaurant - new chef with interesting daily specials.

Heron Landing is a very nice golf course set in beautiful Northwestern Ontario. It is highlighted by its signature hole number 10 that challenges golfers in every aspect of their game. The whole course features wonderful forests and wildlife. You may even get to the see the occassional black bear. Also if you are travelling away from the course the Fort Frances area features great fishing and sportsman adventures. The price to play a round is very reasonable but you should take a cart to play as some of the holes are very long and far away from the club house. I am writing this review in the opinion of a teenager who has played the course with family, friends and on my own. The golf course also has a club house that has washrooms, a shop to buy golf clubs and more. Attatched to this is a wonderful restuarant with reasonable prices as well. Sometimes the restuarant will make different bakings like cookies and cinnamon buns that are to wonderful! This is one of the nicest golf courses in Northwestern Ontario and i highly recommend you play it.
