If you've seen the great nickel you will have to add the Toonie too. Located in Campbellford by the river. Enjoy a stroll, shopping, and restaurant experience nearby. Plenty if photo ops. Rainey Gorge Suspension Bridge also very close by.

This replica of the toonie is perfect. I was present when a friend Steve Redden built this coin from scratch, to a perfect replica. This object is a work of art that should seen by all.

If you happen to drive through town, and need to take a break, head on down to the toonie monument. You can stop buy any of the local restaurants for a little take out, take a look at the monument, and relax at the waters edge. Some really big boats travel up and down the trent. It is worth the stop for some R&R.

The designer of the Toonie is from Campbellford and it's a great tribute to see the massive statue of our $2 coin. Take a picture under the Toonie and enjoy the waterfront park. It's even better when the local bands are playing.

Nothing shows pride in an accomplishment more than erecting a giant monument. Excellent location for it. Great for the kids

I knew about the Big Nickel in Sudbury but was surprised to see a giant Toonie as I drove through Campbellford in Ontario. Located in the park beside the river, this giant metal toonie stands 27 ft. high and 18 ft. across.

You know you need to show everyone the picture of you with The Big "Fill-in-the-Blank" when you cross Canada. So this is the picture to get. Make a funny face and it's a keeper. It's right along the river front, so keep walking and it's a lovely outing.

A monument repesenting the Toonie. Local artist Brent Townsend designed the polar bear logo on the coin. It is huge and located in Old Mill Park beside the bridge.

Cool Picture by the Toonie Monument! This is located right in the middle of town and right beside the Trent Severn Waterway. It was neat to see this in the land where it was invented.

On our way to a cottage we stopped in Campbellford after reading there was a suspension bridge and a giant Toonie. You can't miss the Toonie that is right at the park gazebo next to the Trent River and close to downtown. It's a quirky fun little monument dedicated to the person who designed the logo on that particular toonie. Interesting to stop by and see if you're driving through the quaint little town of Campbellford. Being Labour Day, unfortunately all the little shops were closed so we didn't venture into the village.It's a giant Toonie...not sure what people expected when they got there but we enjoyed it!

We totally missed the monument .. must have passed it 3 or 4 times before noticing it through the trees in the middle of the park .. but quite impressive.

This attraction is a super-sized two dollar Canadian coin. It was built to recognize local artist Brent Townsend who designed the award-winning polar bear as seen on the face of the coin. The coin is located in a park next to the Trent River where boat lazily pass. It is a neat attraction, especially if you like super-sized things. Lots of people stop to have their picture taken in front of it. But like all super-sized objects, after about 10 minutes, the novelty wears off and you realize you are simply staring at a huge hunk of metal in the blazing sun. If you are in the area, definitely check it out so you can say you saw it. Bring your camera and take the requisite 2-3 pictures. Budget about 20 minutes of your day. But do not go out of your way to see it. It is definitely not worth a long drive with kids in the back seat. It is neat, but nothing outrageously special that will change you life.

It is a big Tooney on top of a stone platform just north of the Tourist Information building on the west side of the Trent and just south of the bridge across the Trent. You can look at it, and then look at a Tooney in your hand, and compare the two. If yours is an older, original style Tooney, they will basically match... and that's about all there is to the monument and to the Tooney.

Gaint Toonie in the small park is worth seeing. Good Spot to take some photos. Park is on the bank of the canal and bridge close by makes it a good spot. We visited the place on Canada day. There were some artist performing (singing).

You're in a great little park on the banks of the Trent Canal, boats lazily trudging up the river or moored along the canal, and a memorial of one of the local artisans juts out of the middle of the park...speaks for itself...come visit a great little park in a fantastic town
