The art gallery offers art lessons on saturdays for kids. The gallery itself was a little weird as most of the exhibit was along the walls of a rampy hallway that goes nowhere and you have to double back to get down. The art on display was quite good. Nothing too out there. Some really amazing photographs the time we were there. Nice little gift shop too with stuff from local artists and artizans. Worth a look but you won't need much time!

As other reviewers have noted, kind of small but in a beautiful waterfront location. It was drizzling when I parked, so it provided a welcome diversion. Art that WAS on display was very good. A featured show of a photographer who's worked "On the Labrador" for 20 years was just breathtaking. I bought a small book of his work. It's small, but well worth a look. Free, but donations suggested (and deserved!)

The art gallery is in a beautiful location... on the water and blessed with beautiful light. However, I was surprised at just how small this was. I absolutely applaud the dedication to local art, but I wish there was more of it. The art is displayed along ramped walkways with art -going both up and down from the entrance, and there is a basement gallery which was interesting. Its a quick stop, with a gift shop (some nice work to buy).

Located on the waterfront, this small gallery offers great views of the water, and you're always made to feel welcome by the (volunteer?) staff. There are long ramps down to the basement, the walls along the ramps lined with local art, and several small galleries in the basement, again featuring local artists and parts of the permanent collection. We usually make a point of visiting while seeing our children at university here; the works on display are changed frequently. Some of it is amateurish, some of it extremely good, and the works are always worth seeing.

You couldn't ask for a better location. Gorgeous. Take a look over lunch.

I've visited this place several times over several years whenever I'm in Peterborough. They have an interesting display of artwork each time I visit. There's a program promoting private art classes with children and displays some of the highlights, some are amusing to look at. It's great to see art being promoted at an early age.
