parrsboro golf course

I played a bunch of golf during my trip to Nova Scotia (Digby, Highlands Links, Bell Bay & Cabot Links). Made it to Parrsboro and have to admit that i didn't get a chance to play Parrsobor (9-holer), but we went to take a look and the view from the clubhouse and first tee is as good as it gets. Wish I had given myself a little extra time to play - next time!

This public course, which has nine greens but allows for 18 hole play (by adding a 10th tee box), overlooks the Minas Basin, with views of Blomidon and even Cape Split. The course is great for beginners (like me) but offers challenges for more experienced golfers too. Reasonable green fees for visitors, and annual membership fees for locals and long-term summer visitors. Oh yes, the food served by the kitchen is very good.

To be honest we only visited the clubhouse.It was a cold and wet day and the coffee there had been recommended. We were welcomed by members having a Bridge morning.We had coffee and delicious cinnamon buns. We would have had lunch there if we had had more time because the menu was varied and reasonably priced. The views were magnificent and for golfers the course would be good.
