lighthouse beach

This beautiful broad, white sand beach is a peninsula off the Pictou Landing First Nations Reserve. Parking lot right at the edge of the beach. Used to be a beautiful lighthouse here but it burned in 2009 and now there is just a signal light. Best part of the beach is at the light end. Warmest water in the region; even warmer on the cove side. The Reserve has a convenience store/gas station nearby where you can buy cold drinks and snacks.Please stay off the dunes which are recovering after devastating storms in 2010.
