A beautiful spot to learn how to golf, Kevin and his staff are friendly, very helpful and incredibly patient. I took lessons there and got the deal of the century when I compared to other courses,$70 got us 6 lessons, a short round of golf and a delicious lunch at the end not to mention free tokens for the driving range for the entre summer to practice. The food in the clubhouse was delicious and there's nothing better than sitting outside watching the golfers come up to the 18th hole. They all put up with a lot of good natured ribbing and clapping from the spectators.
We had a beautiful day on a beautiful course, challenging and still lots of fun. A Great time was had by all!
Lovely user friendly course. Back nine is beautiful. Twilight rates if golfing later in day - enquire for rates. Meals are okay very basic but nice outlook over the 18th green.
I was very impressed with your golf course with all the deers on the course and not afaid of people it was a very unique experience..the food was great for lunch and the people were very friendly.. the pro shop had lot of merchandise to shope for ... I loved it and will always go back to golf agaain...
Was looking for somewhere to eat in town, and people visiting from Alberta suggested we might try the golf course as they'd had a few meals there in the week they were visiting. Wonderful suggestion The outdoor patio gives a spectacular view of the mountains, in the background behind the greens. The service was fast and very friendly. My husband and I each had a bowl of the soup of the day, Spicy chicken rice. Was delicious, as was the Pesto Chicken club lunch special that we split between us. Portions were huge, and very tasty. Including beverages, wine and beer, it was a very reasonable ($32) meal with great atmosphere. Previous reviews seem to have had a different experience, and for them I will clarify that we are not friends or family of the owners, and have never been there before either. Based on our experience, it was wonderful and if I too would recommend it to anyone I know if they were travelling in the area.
We stopped in for a quick bite to eat as you can usually depend on golf course food being substantial and tasty, and it was both. Our server was pleasant and quick, knowing we were on the road. Must come back for a round as well...eating in front of the 18th hole looked mighty inviting.
This is a gem of a course located near Grand Forks, BC. The course is in good shape and is challenging for the best of players. Not enough can be said about the course pro Kevin and the rest of the staff. The way they look after their members and visitors is fantastic. This is also one one most affordable Championship courses to join in the interior of BC.
First time in Christina Lake and it is beautiful. Will return but definitely will not return to eat at the golf course. Most of these reviews must be from friends of the staff or owners. As soon as we walked in the two workers were rude. The food was great but you will have to find your own condiments and can forget about getting a refill on your beverage or beer. As soon as the food arrives they will ignore you. I can go on and on. Macdonalds is way more professional and has better service. People walked out even before they were seated because the staff was rude to them as they waited for a table. Wish we walked out before we ordered. I think they were either hungover or they hate their jobs and take it out on the customers. Never going back.
Great view of golf course and wildlife: golfers and deer! The dinner and breakfast were very good, and the service was good. I would go here again if we come back.
Did a few rounds at this course this year. The greens and fairways are always in really good shape! Kevin and Shimmer in the pro shop are always great to deal with. Lots of deals on merchandise to look at! The restaurant and patio is always clean with good food and drink.
Kokanee springs was great but my actual review re the nicest ppl in the world was for Christina Lake. The restaurant is good fare but the staff make it a special place. The golf pro and his staff do a fantastic job. All in all a great experience.
We had supper here twice. The first time it was so good I had to go back for a 2nd time. The servers were very helpful and very polite.
We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed the food. The course is lovely to look at while enjoying good food. We did not have time to play it however.
This is one of our favorite courses in BC - I have bee playing it when I am in the area since 1974 (nine holes at that time). The course itself is comprised of an old nine and a new nine (Les Furber design). Both are fun but we are particularly fond of the back 9. The course is walkable, is always in good shape and Kevin and his staff provide great service. the pro shop often has sales as well. This course is a must play if you are in the area.
This is my home course but I just can't say enough about it. Reasonable rates, friendly, helpful staff. Excellent food. Come out and enjoy 9 or 18 holes
