The spa area is in need of a serious face lift... beautiful garden, but the facilities are definitely old and dated. Hot tub was broken and the patio isn't the most attractive. As for the massage, unfortunately both my wife and I had a terrible experience with the RMT that they brought in. What a shame, definitely has the potential to be a great destination and top activity for the island.

My husband arranged s spa treatment as an anniversary present and it was simply "out of this world". The staff were so pleasant and helpful, the setting serene and my massage was the best ever. The steam room and salt bath were relaxing - this place is a must. Too bad we live in Calgary as i would love to take a treatment monthly.

Every treatment I have experiernced at the Spa is amazing, however my experiences there with Lomi Lomi have been life changing.

From the steam room to the float room... and ending with superbly trained massage therapists - this alone is worth the ferry ride from the mainland.

This spa at the Galiano Oceanfront Inn and Spa is first class. There's no hype like as you might find at other world-class spas and the practitioners are very skilled. In fact, beyond being very skilled, I'd say that the practitioners truly have their hearts in their work. In addition to the more standard services such as massage and yoga, I recommend the saltwater flotation, crystal bowl healing, and Temple style Lomi Lomi. The Lomi Lomi practitioner was trained in Hawaii and takes her art very seriously. I would definitely return here with my wife to experience the couples treatments.

The spa and it's staff is first class. It may be smaller than some but they have all the services that you need. The floating pool was a treat and I can't say enough about the fantastic massage.

We loved the spa here. No high tech or gimmicks...just beautiful treatments in a beautiful space: a garden cottage overlooking a waterfall.

We had the Spirit of Galiano package; a wonderful deal of 2 and a half hours in the spa for just $140 each: perfect couples time. One hour sensory deprivation flotation experience for two, private steam room and one hour massage by real therapists.

The staff and amenities were over the top, for a relaxing and enjoyable spa visit.

These are EXPERIENCED therapists. You will get an excellent massage in a gorgious setting...but it is a REAL massage too. You will feel better. It doesn't have all the fancy glitz and electronic equipment of "salon spas" but it has Quality and theBeauty of Nature surrounding your trea tment.

The couples massage in the cottage was such a great touch.

We've been going to the Galiano Oceanfront Inn & Spa regularly for about four years - it's great. The spa on the property is also a gem worth checking out. I've had massage therapy treatments at lots of resorts. They are usually disappointing. Sure - it's relaxing, but generally not a quality treatment. This place is an exception.First, if you want, you can start your treatment with a half hour in the steam room at no additional cost. A great way to start relaxing, and get your muscles loose before the massage. I've had treatments from three or four therapists there, Eric is my favorite. He was schooled in Montreal, so uses some different techniques than other massage therapists that were schooled in BC. He is also very strong, and can work at a depth that I've never experienced from other massage therapists.Overall, this is one of my favorite places to go for a massage therapy treatment, and I try to schedule a massage every time we come over to the island. I've not had other treatments that they offer, although I've heard that the salt water immersion is a great experience too.If you go, ask for Eric!

The service and care was extraordinary - I felt like a princess.

Thank you Sherry and Eric and Philipa and all the rest: you were awesome. We loved the Mineral Flotation Bath, our massages and the gardens. Wish we hadn't missed the Nia class (we slept in of course!). It was the perfect girlsfriends getaway.
