This is the sort of place that takes a lot of time to produce. You can feel the age of the place just by poking your head in the door of the cellar.Here you can wander into the vat rooms and see huge wooden barrels containing maturing wines.Even the large spider webs above add realism to the whole experience.Don’t miss taking a look at the old red gum press, a massive structure and engineering feat in itself.The staff at the cellar door are very accommodating and make you feel right at home.Like other top vineyards in the area there is a wealth of information available to you just by the asking.If you like a cheap tipple of port, this is the place to secure it.We purchased an 11 litre container of port for just $88, that’s just $8 a litre.Don’t go past Bleasdale without at least taking a look at that wine press. I’m sure you will end up staying just a bit longer.

Only visited for the wines which were very good. Recommended.Try the 16 year old verdelho with coffee and cake!

This is a classic traditional Australian cellar door. Great wines with friendly and helpful staff. One of the great names of the Creek and well worth a visit.
