camel rock

A lovely spot to stop and take in the sights, sounds, smells and the feeling of soft sand between your toes.

Make sure you go to this beach if you are down the far south coast. Long white sands, no crowds and has the famous rocks shaped like a sitting camel. It is a must !!!

Camel rock! An oddity on the coast. A short distance from the highway. Sandy white beaches, crystal blue waters and a big rock that looks like a camel. Bliss.

On a recent trip to Bermagui, we called in to have a look at the local tourist attraction of camel rock not far from Bermagui. It is only a short drive off the main road on a dirt road to the carpark and viewing area. There is a nice viewing area with a seat which is only a short easy walk from the carpark. The beach is pristine and the popular with local surfers. It is definitely worth a look.

Glad to have been there and seen it, not far off the highway. Take the time to see all you can in this fantastic part of the East coast of Australia.

Just north of Bermagui is this strange rocky formation which does look like a sitting camel if you view it from the right direction. A photo opportunity. We looked at it from the beach and I dont think you could get to it as it seems to be too far out in the water.

Easy to drive too on a short, well maintained dirt road. A short walk on the beach. Worthwhile to walk amongst the outcrop behind Camel Rock. Impressive geology and good views.

Camel Rock is about 7 kms north of Bermagui and at the Northern end of a pristine beach. A carpark takes you to where you can view the rock itself but a short walk along the sand will reward you with some stunning closeup views of this landmark that was identified and named by the first English explorers on this coast, Bass and Flinders.

If you are in the area it is definitely worth having a look at Camel Rock, if the weather is good you could have a walk on the beach.

Особого восторга не вызвало, но потратить 5-10 минут чтобы завернуть и сфотографировать можно. В этом районе достопримечательностей не много, поэтому и верблюд сойдёт.
