An eclectic collection of antiques, bric-a-brac, and collectables, Village Antiques is a great place to spend time fossicking before or after visiting some of Bungendore's cute cafes, bakeries and local art outlets. Discoveries are in every nook and cranny of this very large shop and spill out into the court yard at the back. While staff are sometimes hard to find in the maze of items large and small, you will be closely supervised by two very large fat cats (literally) - appropriate for being only 40 minutes from Canberra, the HQ of fat cats. Well worth a visit.

Bungendore is such a beautiful town and an easy drive from Canberra. Antiques have always fascinated most people but they seem so much more interesting when you "discover" stores in country towns. This is an interesting shop with so much to see.

Amazing, the shop just went on and on.... so much to look at and to put on my wish list. I wanted to stay there all day.

A visit to Bungendore probably isn't complete without a visit to this place. Easy to find on one of the main roads you'll find it a sprawling series of large rooms, crammed with furniture and other decor. There are a lot of good looking antiques for sale, as well as a lot of modern items. Make sure you walk right through as there are plenty of outdoor items out the back. Prices and range don't seem to be any different to other antiques shops.

This huge shop is packed with a mixture of antiques and mass-produced stuff, a great place for a wander whilst in Bugandore.

Antiques are not really my thing, so it perhaps speaks volumes that even I enjoy wandering through this place with friends and family. It's a huge place with several showrooms, a barn and a garden full of antiques. Amongst other things, the barn has a glorious timber bar, bar chairs and tables that my brother covets and would love to put in his 'man-shed'. Whether you're looking for something specific or you're happy just browsing and perhaps reminiscing, this is a lovely place to spend a little time.
