This old building used to be a hospital and you can visit the room in which Sir Donald Bradman was born. In addition the building offers a number of artefacts and information relating to the career of Bradman. Many towns such as Bowral and Temora claim a part of the Bradman legend but this display and accompanying DVD presentation is worth a visit. It provides a number of interesting details of the career of the great man.The caretaker was very pleasant and helpful with lots of information.A must visit for all cricket lovers.

This museum is must for cricket loving fans and centres on the achievements of Donald Bradman, but there is also another section of the museum at the rear of this lovely old cottage which houses hundreds of other items from the past, including homewares, utensils and utilities which I found to be very interesting and well presented. The cost to visit the Museum is meagre and the rather elderly host, John,( if you wish) will take you through the whole Museum personally and enthusiastically explain each item in detail. He is very well knowledged and entertaining. I stayed much longer than I anticipated. There is a large lawn, garden area at the rear of the property too which added to my experience there.

Well preserved...locals are very proud of their history and like many country towns the locals are friendly, helpful and always happy to stop and "yarn" about their town. We will be back!

Not alot of people know, but Bradman was born here. He grew up in Bowral. Played for NSW and moved to Adelaide. Considering Bowral is a tourist haven for cricket. The museum is run by volunteers. Journey to this place because its special. Bradman's grandparents are buried in the cemetery. Cootamundra has important history.

This little cottage operated as a small private hospital where Sir Donald Bradman's was born, but did not reside here. The cottage is full of Bradman and lots of other cricketing memorabilia. The second cottage on site is also full of historic artefacts throughout the decades. It is only a few dollars entry and children under 16 are free, which is a very cheap price considering all there is to see here. Well worth a visit.Visit the link below for more information on the "Bradman Trail"http://www.bradmantrail.com.au/cootamundra.php

If you are a cricket lover then this is a must visit trip !! This is the home town of the Great Sir. Donald Bradman. They have a very pretty cricket ground called the Bradman Oval and a very well maintained Museum. This has a lot of artifacts around Cricket - though more about Australian cricket but cricket as a whole. Did you know that once of the first games of cricket was played in the USA..

As well as containing a good display of Bradman Memorabilia, the Museum also has a large variety of other heritage items.

My father and I stopped by when visiting friends in coota. Spent more than an hour reading and looking around. We are both cricket fans and found the visit very enjoyable. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and the place is worth a visit.

I stopped in here on my way back home. I didn't have a lot of time but wanted to go have a look. The two gentlemen at the museum were friendly and knowledgeable. I got a personal tour of the museum and the next door memorabilia cottage. There was so much to see and read. I wished I had of had more time. I thought the entrance fee was reasonable and well worth it.

I enjoyed this little museum, it had a good amount of memorabilia of our Don Bradman as well as local things. Take a walk down to the Captains walk afterwards to get your cricket juices flowing.

How on earth you can fit so much memorabilia and 'stuff' into two cottages is beyond me. WOW. Keep up the great work. Definately worth the visit.

We visited the little cottage where Sir Donald Bradman, an Australian cricket legend was born. There is a lot of Don's cricket bats, baggy greens, books, score cards..etc on display. You are encouraged to pick up the books & relax to read. Great display and the little cottage next door is a must see, it houses all the memorabilia of yester years from power insulators, cokes can/bottles, kitchen gadgets, Weetbix tins to a travel trunk. It's all well displayed and the cottage is manned by local town's volunteers with a small fee. Excellent place of history if you're into cricket.
