I love the quirky town of Lightning Ridge and a visit to Bevans Cactus Nursery is a must, with it's huge collection of different varieties of Cacti. Not to mention meeting one of Lightning Ridges iconic characters, John Bevan. His sense of humour, passion for his nursery and knowledge about the Black Opal and knowledge of the town itself, make for a worth while visit whilst you are in Lightning Ridge.
