the good companions hotel

We came across the Goodie by complete accident as it was right on our festival bus stop but it was a great find.Great entertainment every time we called in. Good coffee, good drinks, super strong air con - which was nice with the hot, humid weather. Plus with 2 kids in tow we always felt welcome.The only downside is the size of the front bar where the live shows were. It was nice decor & cosy but only fitted so many ppl in which was a shame for the performers & the bar as we saw a few ppl come in & leave again when they couldn't get a seat.Hope they keep the entertainment coming on future years - I'd definitely be back to see what new emerging talent is playing there.
