Stopped for a quick coffee and tasting, had a nice chat with owners and quick peek at plants and gifts, well worth a look if you're passing through. We purchased a bottle of Sunset after the tasting, all flavours had interesting notes, but the ginger Grapefruit was a common smile producer for my wife and I.
Every time we return there has been something new added to the property. Distillery, nursery & gift store with great wall art. Something of interest for everyone. Looking forward to another visit.
We visited during an overnight stay from Tannum Sands. This is a distillery and nursery and is advertised as such. The liquors are lovely (and we purchased two) and the owners are extremely knowledgeable on their product and a delight to chat to. These are the sort of people that are born to hospitality and we wish them all the success possible.
Kath R The couple that own the business could not have been more friendly and helpful. A great source of knowledge about all their products, they even gave us some info about some place of interest to see, that we didn't know existed. This is a small boutique distillery that has fruit based Liqueurs, they are alcoholic, but they are not wine based. Will definitely be calling in again when we are next in Agnes. David T Don't know what you were expecting in a small town like Agnes. XXXX brewery MAYBE? Yes the range is limited , but if you had of listened during the tastings you would understand how expensive the liqueurs are to make and sell retail.
After visiting what we thought would be a distillery, we were disappointed to see it was more a Garden centre than anything else. Yes there was a small tasting area for their fruit Liqueurs, limited highly priced wine based liqueurs.
The gentleman who owns this place was an absolute pleasure to talk to. Very friendly, and really did want to talk us through what he's doing and is clearly passionate about his product. It's not much to look at at the moment, but he tells us that there are plans to build in tours soon. They offer free tastings of the liqueurs. The strawberry was our favourite, and we bought a bottle home to try on iced cream. Yum!Worth popping in to say hello, but I wouldn't expect to be there more than 15-20 minutes.
