a lovey place full of lots of history and sum very nice friendly people ,nice places to eat drink and enjoy the weather a 1st class place that added lost to our holiday
There's not an awful lot to do in Mareeba but it's a really good base to use for a couple of nights while you explore the surrounding area
These markets are great. Lots of authentic locally made articles from jewellery to cakes and biscuits. The museum is well worth a visit and is free. It has a range of great historical artifacts and one can spend a lot of time there, which we did.Well done mareeba
If you love coffee this place is a must stop. With over 20 coffees to sample plus teas plus chocolates the price if admission was worth it. Entertaining and interesting DVD all about the turbulent history of coffee around the world plays while you sip. Then there is the museum. What can I say?! Audio is very informative and you can tell it is the recording of a coffee impressario. Well worth wandering through. Gift shop could have done with more coffee related curios mini grinders, pots, filters etc but all in all well worth the visit. This place is wasted on folks who don't drink coffee. The museum may interest but it is being able to taste the black gold that is worth the price of admission. It opens at 9a and I would make sure you arrive before 10a as you will have the place to yourself for at least an hour before the crowds arrive.
before I start ,, this "Coffeeworks review!"A real friendly place, we were welcomed in shown around before we even paid to enter, and Wow there's more about coffee and tea History than Most people could retain, you would need a full time course to take everything in.an Audio guide of the museum, free tasting of local teas/coffees plus world coffee as-well,Plus an amazing shop, chocolatier , then the restaurant/bbq etc,and the roasting packing area. Just out of this World !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
