I found the tangled maze to have lovely staff who were very helping and are very capable under stressful situations, they handled getting everyone's lunches out at the best of their ability when the place was packed! I found the maze to be very beautiful with the staff being insightful explaining that there is 2000 species of different plants the point of the maze is that it is a TANGLED MAZE NOT A NICE NEAT HEDGE, THAT DEFEATS THE PURPOSE OF IT! "as the review before suggest it is over grown when it is not, and there are certainly no blackberry bushes!!! I found the mini golf to be hard and the prices to be very reasonable! I've been to courses where I've been charged $15 for nothing but a patch of fake grass and that was all!
maze was very average, lots of blackberries sticking out to grab your clothes and skin. mini golf was extremely boring, no thought put into the design and little challenge, 12yr old non golfer managed par.
The maze was pretty although a little boring, the one lookout I found could only show one direction due to overgrown hedges. Quite a few parts of the maze were closed to repair, but no note on the website or at front counter to advise guests. Minigolf was one of the worst I've seen, the only half/interesting thing was a tin watering can held up by a chain hanging over a hole. There was no mechanical/water or other features. Just predominately flat plastic grass with brick pathways and the cups in the ground. Minigolf was $10 as the maze was also $10, not sure what I was paying for considering there WERNT even enough goofballs for us to play with ! When my 10 year old asked for a golfball he stated "anything but pink because then we will all have pink" .....yep, you guessed it...they gave him a pink ball. This would have been okay I guess if it hadn't of taken 20 minutes in the understaffed foyer to ask for a ball. I also thought $12 for two cans of soft drink and a pop top a bit over the top. The plants they had for sale looked good, shame they were so much more expensive than the nursery down the road. Bad day out, really crappy I thought !
All in all very satisfied, compared to the rest of the area it offered us something very different to do! I couldn't help but feel they crammed the mini golfing course into a tiny area considering they literally had aches, and the course lacked creativity but was still fun.The maze was very fun, while the clues allowed us to know what we where finding before we found it there was still a great deal of satisfaction in the course. It was complex and sophisticated! Definitely would recommend!
A fantastic venue to keep the kids happy and active. The synthetic ice rink, maze and laser tag were a huge hit. We had to come back a second day. They loved it.
Stopped here on our way through creswick - beautiful gardens. (Loved the caterpillar hedge at the entrance) Kids loved the maze (kept them occupied for an hour) and game of mini golf. Staff very friendly. Highly recommend !
One of the best mazes we have been in. Great time with the family playing mini golf and exploring the maze looking for answers to a set of questions we were given.
The food is great and not too dear. It is a licensed venue, as well as being family friendly. There also ample parking off the main road.
Had a fun time here with grandchildren, they enjoyed doing something different and outdoors. Mystery trail was a fun challenge.
We had our wedding here and I am so glad we chose this venue. Judy goes above and beyond to make the day perfect, and the grounds are beautiful. Every body loved the food. Definitely a great venue for a variety of events. I highly recommend!
$17 to do all activities for adults ( I don't know where the review below got 21 for concession from its only $14!!!) any way lovely day and fun mystery trail it can't be solved the minute you walk in like another review suggested as you have to go through the WHOLE Maze to find everything and answer the questions back at reception to receive your little prize. Beautiful gardens and fun little mini golf, can wait for the ice rink to be opened and we will return for sure
It takes more than a few patches of fake grass and scattered bricks to make "mini golf". Each hole the same as the one before. Maze was solved the minute we walked in. Giant chess board game wasn't even free once inside!Desperately in need of updating, especially if you are going to charge $21 (concession!). Felt like a continued rip off the whole time we were there. Yes, make money. We will always support local business- But please don't take the biscuit. We left feeling cheated.
We spent a lovely couple hours at this attraction. It is located surrounded by very well maintained gardens with views of rolling hills and farmlands in all directions. We enjoyed the maze, it was fun searching for the different clues inside. Don't expect a manicured hedge maze - it is more of a rambling garden maze with the walls made up of various bushes, vines and creepers. We liked how parts of it were flowering, and it also helped us find our way around being able to recognise the different plants. We played mini golf with out kids (5 and 7), then bocce and also some chess. The mini golf course was simple but fun, the kids loved it. We didn't purchase anything from the cafe, rather we brought our own afternoon tea and enjoyed a snack on the lovely lawns adjoining the car park area.We did think it was a bit pricey overall for the type of attraction it was ($57 for a family of four) and the only other negative was the smell of the toilets - almost the worst I have ever encountered in Australia, I am not sure what was going on there but it was revolting!
We made the 50 minute drive for this place (we purchased a voucher from Groupon) there is nothing wrong with the please, the staff were very friendly the place was clean. It was just very basic we did the maze and mini golf (note: the mini golf is tiny, turf and hills; nothing special) the maze was ok but was more just a leisurely 20 minute walk through a garden, this is in comparison to the maze at Phillip Island, healesville and Mornington peninsula which are amazing. Unfortunately in having visited these other mazes this one was a real disappointment. The gardens themselves were lovely and well maintained; great spot for a wedding.Young children after a fun time in a maze - sadly no.
great maze, excellent customer service and value for money, everyone loved the maze and the mini gold, great food and drinks, well recommended, must visit.
